Everyone needs a Suzuki hood work bench. Love it. I did my 5VZ-FE this way and it eventually started to leak around the half moons and cam seals. Please pull half moons and came seals and put FIPG around them and seal back up. Also Toyota manual says to add a little FIPG at some points around the valve cover gasket.

I would love to see where and how to replace the Crankshaft position sensor and the Camshaft position sensor with that engine so nicely exposed. That would be an enormous for me.

That engine has long since been installed. But I do have a different 3.4 out on the floor that I can do a video on. Thanks for the suggestion. And thanks for watching and supporting my channel.

Fixing to do this lol along with lower intake gasket and those two freaking knock sensors and wire harness! Not looking forward to it lol I think I would rather do the timing belt but I wanted to replace all intake gaskets so knock sensors get replaced too

I'm with you, I'd rather do a timing belt than the upper engine stuff. Good luck and enjoy the project (as much as ya can). I appreciate you watching and commenting.

Is it necessary to apply sealer to the specified critical points around the cylinder head, particularly at the corners of the half moons? I saw in another video where the tech replaced the half moons and gave a modest squirt at the corners where leaks can occur. Great videos though. Thanks

You're welcome and thank you for the support. I bought a valve cover gaskets set. It came with the v.c. gaskets and the spark plug tube seals. I also bought an upper intake gasket set, comes with the 2 gaskets for the plenum. I didn't do the cam plugs or seals because they were not an issue. Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Hello please I have a valve cover gasket leak. I don't have enough time and money to do this. The leak is minor but I want to know if my engine will be blown if I keep driving it with this oil leak?
@funjunkiegarage10 ай бұрын
No, an oil leak won't cause an engine to blow up unless it runs out of oil. Just keep the level correct. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and asking

@funjunkiegarage10 ай бұрын
You're welcome. If possible, take a 10mm socket and an extension and see if you can tighten the bottom bolts on each valve cover. Not too tight but often they need a little snug up. That may help slow the leak.

@@funjunkiegarage thanks. Please I have another question. I left my car with my neighbor for a week. And this morning he brought me it back with issues. The automatic transmission doesn't drive when shifting into (R) reverse. But in drive (D) the car runs perfectly and shift into all gear. My question is do I have a transmission problem? Changing ATF can fix it?
@funjunkiegarage10 ай бұрын
Have you checked the linkage? Have you checked the fluid level? Not sure why it would not have reverse, but I'd check those first.
