I have said it before....he's probably my age but reminds me of the old tradies my dad knew (motor mechanic) when I was a kid. He has always looked like "I'm a tradesman. I don't hold with this Hollywood stuff" to me. Cody, if you want to see good work ethic, and old, trade learned skills get passed on, this is the place to be. And I know I am telling you NUTHIN' you didn't figure out for yourself. Robby calls you "Big Dog", I'm guessing it's for a reason.

Yes, Cody is cool in his metered, laidback, quieter, experienced way. Some of the looks (stares) he gives to others or the camera when they say or do something is funny.

Two Laymo progress videos in a row. It is really cool how you cut that, to maintain structural integrity. I love seeing the masters at work, even though the only thing I know about bodywork, I've learned from this channel.

Except for the fact that they forgot to brace the inside of the car with welded steel z braces before cutting anything to keep the whole car from twisting and bending after the roof got cut off.

This is why I watch your channel, the paint and bodywork. I like the detail you've gone into showing how to properly replace a section of the roof on a vehicle. Can't wait for the next in the series! It will be interesting where you take the laymo to the finished product. Please show and educate each step of the way; I'm loving this!

This is the type of work I really enjoy watching. My grandfather was a body guy as well, he would buy several wrecked cars and slice and dice them to get rid of the bad parts and then take the good parts and put them back together to get a fully functional car.
@mwyatt222

People were more industrious back then. My grandfather used to salvage building materials from dilapidated properties and build very ornate small lake houses on lake Lydia in Texas. He would drive all over the US looking for houses and buildings that were abandoned.

I love the bodywork videos! It is fascinating to see how the inner structures of a car body work together to make something quite strong. Even the infomercial part about the vacuum wasn't too obnoxious. Yes, Robby, I know that they help give you what you need to make first class videos and cool vehicles. Can't wait to see how it progresses!

It's cool to see different approaches to projects. Like the extreme detail on the Golden Nugget to make something as near perfect as possible as opposed to the limo. A huge project but not to make it near perfect but to build a unique rock crawler in your style. To be honest I prefer the limo approach because you will actually use it and have a ton, ton and a half, of fun doing it.

Cutting and shutting those panels looked scarily hard to do, but you look to be nailing it. Super impressed with all of your workmanship. I would totally trust you guys to do serious body work on my vehicles. You did make the point that the Limo is a rock crawler and does not have to be concours d'elegance, but I just know that you won't be able to help yourselves, and will finish the Limo as if it was going to be a show entry.

At first I thought the idea of cutting the pillar one cell phone width away was pretty ingenious. When the windshield didn't fit I thought the new system of measurement was doomed.
