thanks. the one detail i needed to know, i got..... the final bleeder right at the ignition chamber. i bled the filter (5/16 nut on the top) but the reset kept popping. once i did the second bleed, presto.

So, hit the bleeder valve then flashlight the sensor. Got it 👍 all fired up bud

You ran out of oil because one of those filters, obviously the one with oil still in the tank, is more restricted than the other and oil will flow in the path of least resistance. Tee the tanks together with the crossover loop, then one filter on the feed line to the burner.

Real hard to understand you...i thought i heard you talking about batteries...if so ive never heard of or seen them ever..not sure how your bleeding your riello but there is a few simple ways to keep it running for as long as you want...if your manipulating cad n still goes off you have an issue...once you manipulate cad cell properly it will stay running as long as you need it too...but hard to tell what your saying...riello's shut down fairly quickly if flame isnt established..other burners you can get even up to 20 or more b4 shut down..but it is better to quickly shut off b4 saturating chamber in oil....

Definitely better to shut off quick rather than have the entire firebox covered in oil and going inferno mode when it lights. On my oil burner I had the ignition transformer burn out before. I've also replaced the CAD sensor although that might have been something else, but it was only $20. I've replaced the pump filter also as well as the tank filter.
