Taking photos of my own outfits ACTUALLY helped me so much! I’ve been doing it for a while, and now when I don’t know what to wear, I just look the photos and choose one!

Being a Fashion Designer, it depends on where I'm going. If it's to church, or the Temple, I wear my "dry clean only," suits, or my own dress designs. When I'm walking the dog, it's denim skirts, & sweaters, & a denim jacket, with my machine embroidery on the back. If it's to a church, pot luck, I wear something machine washable, b/c little kids can spill food on you. I style the outfit on my dress form, with the coordinating jewelry, so it's ready to go to church.

As the years go by I feel like I’ve finally settled on my personal style. I don’t care for trends and noticed that my style has been classic all along. I determined this by my usual outfit choices, what I gravitate towards, what always feels just right and “me” What I really started doing is investing in quality fabrics and buying less. A great pair of jeans, a beautiful cotton, white shirt a stunning leather jacket etc as well as seasonal staples takes care of my wardrobe and never looks dated.

This is such a great topic, Ciara. I know a lot of people that think that “next best outfit” is going to do it for them. For me, that ‘maybe pile’ always end up staying with me. Also, that ‘maybe pile’ usually seems new to a lot of people. Especially if you style it with something else or something new and they say, “Wow. I’ve never seen you wear that before. Is that new?” Then my inner smile kicks in… Thank you for the great video. 😊

Love this! I might be moving soon, I’m putting together the most reached for and neutral clothes and shoes first, then adding accents and colourful alternatives to the staples. Like not the prettiest but the most versatile pieces.

I wear leggings everyday but have been told that I have great style, namely because the colors I choose for myself are based on my "color theory" they're my best colors and I wear leggings with a lot of patterns, and a corresponding plain shirt that is one of the colors from the leggings, then I add accessories like rings and necklaces. I work in a manufacturing environment for work so this is appropriate attire. However I love my style, its cute, casual, functional and best of all: comfortable.
