Nice results on the restoration. I like the amalgamating results. I wish I had the proper ventilation setup to safely spray lacquer in my workshop. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I subscribed. Scott 🇨🇦

Thanks Scott ! Story behind this is that I hastily shot the video while I was doing the job for a client. I somehow messed up the video format. All I could salvage was taking screenshots of the video. I was so disappointed in myself because it's not as if you get a do over on something like this. It's such a great process that I just had to somehow assemble it back into a video the best I could with what I had. I subscribed to your channel as well.

WeRefinish I understand the frustration. For me, the irreversible filming is my glue ups. Once the glue is applied, I’ve only got 15 minutes to assemble and clamp before disaster strikes. The joys of making videos! Cheers. Scott

Thank you!! Mind blown. Lol. My cabinets is missing abt 1/3 of finish... So I should use more of the other product I guess. This seems to be the BEST tutorial on the subject and I desperately need this to work..or something. I'm in a pickle. :). Going to go through your videos to see if I can find my issue more precisely. God Bless the work you all are doing.

Can you do that to wooden exterior doors? I strip and refinish a ton of doors. This looks like a useful technique.
@FurnitureRefinishingStudio6 жыл бұрын
John Turner, I would say sometimes yes as long as you know what the finish is so that you can amalgamate it using the correct solvent. I'm sure you know - no technique works in every situation but it's totally worth experimenting.

What technique for older (e.g., non-lacquer) finishes? Would this technique be applicable to a piano?

For each situation, I can only advise you to do a test in an inconspicuous area using the proper solvent for that particular finish.
