very wise counsel you guys! I would also add the prayer and perseverance piece as there may be a hard push back from the enemy at first..... THICK SKIN REQUIRED!

I have been going to my church for a little over a year. About 3 months ago I was asked to take over the sound booth, now I have taken over all the social media work as well, along with rebuilding the church website from scratch. I am working on all this myself. I work the sound board, camera and stream computer all at the same time on Sunday. The church is old. It was started in 1856 and has been in the same location since 1915. The church is very stuck in it's ways. Believing that they can survive on the local population. If I would guess at the population of the area, I would have to say 300 maybe. The church leaders refuse to do more outreach to the surrounding area, Eugene is about 9 miles away with a population of almost 180,000. One comment I was asked was, are we competing against other churches? Our congregation average age is at least 70 years old. We have three families with smaller kids in a congregation of 40ish. We don't have a Youth program, only children's church. With me being there only a year and in leadership for a few months, my ideas have been met with enthusiasm but little else. My Multi Media budget is only $500.00 a *year.* I am very frustrated. This video has helped me. I have to slow down and let God work. This is going to be a long time coming. Thank you. God Bless.

Can you give an example of a Mission and Vision stement that would communicate the change your are talking about? One that communicates a forward looking vision?

question. Can the unhealthiness of a Christian community by so severe that immediate action needs to be done such as a radical surgery. Anything would be better? and if so how do you evaluate this and go forward?

So what we did was to execute a coup: Together with the pastor, the two of us started uploading short videos on her personal FB, and within a month, everybody liked them, and implementing YT services through FB and on our webpage was suddently something everyone wanted! What some initially had reservations about, was that if services became virtuel, fewer would get through the door? Apparentlly, these people didn't think about how many new faces it would attract to real services, besides the online exposure. What initially was the factor changing their minds, was that even they, got compliments from strangers and devout church goers about how great it was we finally had made the push and gotten an online presence.

Ugh. We could use some help here in Minnesota. Our church went from thousands of parishioners in the 1950's to about 50 today. And they do not want to change a thing.

Change is difficult for most people. We've found that the best way to begin is to find common ground in what the vision/purpose of your church, and begin to address things that should change to specifically contribute to this purpose. 😊

Danny Mitchell Glad you noticed! We actually talked about that and wondered if unending photos of me would get stale. Figured we’d do some experimenting. 🤷♀️

Pro Church Tools with Brady Shearer Just my 2 cents, but I though they were fun yet descriptive. Kinda matched the feel of the videos in that way.

Danny Mitchell Yeah, we’re not getting rid of them! Just always experimenting and seeing what works.
