Thank you for being humble enough to include you going back in to re apply the nape area. You could have edited that out but I'm glad you didn't. Things like that actually happen in the salon and everyone can learn from that! ☺️ This is just so gorgeous! Brought so much life back to her hair.

This turned out gorgeous. My salon did a shadow root on my platinum hair today. I wanted to cry. Literally, they but a dark root down so far that if I put my hair in a pony tail you dont see the blonde until past the elastic band :( I'm a natural very dark brown/ soft black and have went thru alot of time and money to get a white platinum that I ultimately wanted to blend down with my shadow root to make look like white and tiny black pieces. There is no blending at all. The shadow root looks like a natural root I just grew out. Ughh.. thank you for the video. I am going to make that hair salons manager watch it. I kept telling them not to take it down that far and blend it. I repeatedly told them to keep some blonde strands on top to blend with it. They didnt. My bangs and a good inches behind my ears are all dark root. Not any blonde blending.
@regiarayada274 жыл бұрын
You should it get the color oops kit they have it in any drugstore and Walmart is about 13 or 15 dls and it will remove your dark color and without damage at all leave you again with your blonde and you can still recolor it same day I always use it if I don't like the color I use sometimes is too dark and I don't like it
@ShannonVanFleet8 жыл бұрын
Welp, looks like I just found a new favorite root formula!
@AlexsisMae8 жыл бұрын
+Shannon VanFleet it's such a good one! There's always the problem of filling the hair when doing the reverse sombre because you can fill before hand, so the 06na gives the control while the 07GB helps to fill and control the hair from going too ashy.

@morganderose34918 жыл бұрын
Renee Gearst you just touch up the roots, the dimension should still be there. Sometimes you have to redo the entire process because double process blondes tend to be porous and the color bleeds out. If not then you can just do a regular retouch
@AlexsisMae8 жыл бұрын
+Renee Gearst exactly what Morgan said! Once you've established the color placement you just touch up the regrowth area with a base color, and every other time or so you throw in a few foils to keep the color up!

Have a magical day she can only really do what the client wants. Sometimes people with long hair, particularly blonde that may break, are really attached to their length and to even trim it is a huge deal.
@elibjo017 жыл бұрын
Oh, my ends was really damaged once and I naturally have thick hair and it began breaking upwards because I used alot of heat to straighten it and brushed it while it was wet and so on but when I cutted off 3 inches at the salon it completely revived my hair. I know that she loves her hair because I do too but it was the best thing I have done for my hair. I have stopped with heat for a long time now and used hair masks to keep it healthy. It is bleached once and colored at the salon ( it is caramel/chocolate brown ) and it is super healthy now. I get why she doesn't want to cut it off but it doesn't look that good anymore, that was just my point, a little trim would make her hair look much thicker

I would think maybe you are using too strong of a developer? I’ve never ever had that problem. I use shades eq w 10vol shades eq developer. So today I actually did this to a bleach blonde who wanted to go back natural without covering all her blonde so took 5n w 10volume because you don’t want to lift but deposit and yes it looks dark but since the cuticle is wide open it fades to a lively brown lowlight. Hope that helps you.

My clients roots appear to be approx 7 level ash in color. I want her root color to be cool but don't want to mud out the color. Ive been using 9T and 9V... sometimes separately... sometimes as a concoction on my hair for forever now. I feel like it almost just washes out after the second wash though (which sucks) Never tired 9P. do you like it any better??
@AlexsisMae8 жыл бұрын
+K B for every minute it's on the hair that's one wash. So you really need to be diluting with clear in order to allow for full processing time of 20-25 minutes. I work with T and V but I like the P for the main part of my formula when doing light blondes because it doesn't get muddy or dark. I add in T and V like a booster, again unless I'm dealing with serious warmth.

If you work in vertical sections instead of diagonal back for the root application you'll get a better blend, I noticed a few spots in front so I figured I'd tell you!! Since I started doing this I've never gotten a spot
@morganderose34918 жыл бұрын
And vertical sections in the back underneath instead of horizontal, it eliminates the splotchiness and blends perfect. I love the end result it looks beautiful I'll definitely be using this
@AlexsisMae8 жыл бұрын
+Morgan Dee the front part was just lighting, she didn't have any splotches otherwise I would have seen them and corrected anything like that! And underneath it wasn't because of application it's just because her hair was so blonde but in these types of colors you can't really fill the hair before because of placement. I'm not one to use vertical placement, just not my favorite way to work and use placement, but everyone likes different things! Thank you for watching!

The color turned out beautiful however her ends are like 9/10 and the over all end result was to do a 6.5. Going more than 2 shades darker why didn't you fill this first to prevent the blotchiness??
@AlexsisMae7 жыл бұрын
+Holly Harrelson if I was to fill I couldn't go back and perfectly get all the same hairs. So I did both steps in one. Her underneath was pretty compromised thus the porosity difference. It was a simple correction. And I went darker because it will still fade since I used a demi permanent.
@hollyharrelson26667 жыл бұрын
Great save it turned out great. if you ever have someone else similar one thing that I have done in the past and it works great I will fill with shades, one level above the desired (fold those in different shapes then the rest, then go back after you have applied process don't rinse those out, just rinse out the lighter, and apply my desired color over the packets that have been filled. Only if I know they are not going to want to go lighter later. Another stylist showed me the application of applying the color over the fill color (just have to make sure that the final color counter acts any unwanted warmed.
