Just been gifted a Kawasaki zx9R 900cc and I’ve been super super anxious about every part of it and especially the timing and having to do gears. This video has helped me reinforce all of the most important steps in my memory so now once on the bike. Your steps will be in my mind. So far I’ve learnt •Key in •Press red button. •Make sure bike is neutral •Hold clutch down without throttle and kick gear shifter down to enter 1st •Let off the clutch without throttle to get moving •once I’ve practiced on roll mode, and know how to turn and maybe lean a little in a parking lot, then practice really gently applying gas

Rode that until I got rear ended and stayed off a bike for about 6 years. After that I got a 250 dual sport after a breakup to clear my head and get back into riding currently in a 2024 636 and loving life. Point is I wish I had started on a 250 because that Cbr was waaay to much for a newbie 😂

@streetdreamz8056 11 ай бұрын
Ok so, if you passed the msf course and you absolutely understand how clutch and throttle work. i would say be like how i was and just shoot for the Zx6r. it has a low power mode that you can get used to before going full power. I just dont want to tell you to buy something that may be to powerful for you at the moment. have you ever ridden any other bike before msf course?

@streetdreamz8056
@streetdreamz8056 4 ай бұрын
@@angelfernandez1286 19, you want a 636. its possible and not the worst idea but i will say this, its a very powerful motorcycle and can put you in a bad situation if you try to ride way above your limits and riding ability. heres what i will tell you based off your comment. start with something smaller. you have a full life to live no rush. i already ride with a wild 20 year old that i have to always tell him to chill out. so i know the younger we are the crazier. what ever you choose just be safe.

The new zx6r has customizable power gains which I think IS GREAT for new riders who want a long term investment. Having customizable power bands means as the rider progresses, he can adjust to his riding skills as he progresses. Unlike the gsxr600, your just gonna kill yourself from the get-go. You have no control over that powerband.

I want to get a zx6r as my first bike I’ve played with lower cc bike nothing crazy 250s at most but I seen on Reddit that a zx6r is crazy powerful and a very sensitive clutch I just want to know what all yall think about its as a first bike
@streetdreamz8056
@streetdreamz8056 5 ай бұрын
@@highkinggames748 you can start on a zx6r especially since youve rode 250s.. the clutch is not the problem that people have trying to start on a zx6r.. its more when a rider gives it way too much throttle while in the friction zone! it is absolute key to test your bikes friction zone by doing exactly what i showed in this video. it will help you to understand where the exact position of where you bike starts to pull forward while easily releasing the clutch without throttle.
