Rea, I know it’s probably pretty warm there, and at low speed, no air moving. You’re also confidant and experienced, but for the noobs out there, if you might drop the bike when learning, wear a jacket to protect against possible bruising and contusions.

everybody knows that, the point of video is starting a bike and doing first steps, so ur comment is a bit irrelevant, sir.

Just stumbled upon your first video about 10 minutes ago, where you ride for the first time, and now I'm seeing this 16 hours after it's posted and you're teaching others to ride! Bought my first bike a couple weeks ago, and seeing this is very reassuring. Congrats!

Rea, I've been watching your videos since I started learning how to ride a motorcycle last August. I'm only a couple of weeks from my practical assessment here in Perth, Western Australia. I'm turning 43 years old in a couple of days and I just put down a deposit on a new motorcycle. I've learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos, and the clarity with which you explain things.

Keep up the great informing videos! They are helping me a lot. First time rider and owning a Honda rebel. I’ve got out on it twice with the second time being stressful and a bit upsetting. I just rewatch your training videos and they boost my confidence. Thank you! Look forward to many more.

Hi!! Gosh I love comments like this because it makes me feel like making these types of videos are worth it and helpful for people. So thank you for this comment 😊 congrats on starting your journey and owning a Rebel! It’s definitely challenging and stressful (trust me there’s a ton of frustrating moments I left out of my videos lol) but it gets better with practice and soon you’ll be out cruising 😊 safe riding!

Great tutorial on learning the friction zone, Rea👍🏼 Bonus tip: although learning the clutch on a level is great when first starting out, practicing on a slight, uphill incline (driveway,etc) is a good way to stay sharp, and develop a better feel. Just roll up about ten feet, pull in the clutch and let gravity roll the bike back. Repeat. This is especially useful if you ride offroad.

Hi Rea, awesome video! Ive been watching your content since I started riding in November. I would love if you would have a video about motrocycle basic maintenance, like stuff to look out for on our day to day riding, like oil levels, when to change tyres, etc...

Probably watch it many times over because of the information packed content you gave! Keep inspiring people to stretch their boundaries and comfort zones as you encourage them to follow their dreams of MC ownership/ridership.👍⭐⭐⭐😎🐻 Doug

You showed it very, very clearly by taking off your hands( only for the sake of demonstration). I think it becomes dangerous when the smallest element of confusion is added.

Kickstand switch when parking da bike: There are 3 ways to cut power to the engine at the end of your ride and parking: 1) flip the red kill switch. The engine stops but the E power to the ignition is still on. 2) turn the key off. The engine stops, and all E power is also turned off. 3) Brad’s method: I use the kickstand down kill switch to turn the engine off when I park, by putting the kickstand down, then turn the key to off to cut E power to the engine. There are several reasons why I’ve developed this method when stopping and getting off da bikes: 1) I am sure that the kickstand is down before I get off the bike. Don’t laugh. I’ve seen several bikers dismount after stopping and turning the bike off, with the kickstand still up! (Did it once myself ;). Not only does it damage the bike when you hop off without the kickstand down, but it is quite embarrassing if there are people around. A real forehead slapper!!! 2) If you stop the bike and turn the bike off with the kill switch or key, but stay in the seat for a while, will you remember to check the kickstand before getting off the bike? Are there any downsides to this method? Maybe

Here’s a splanatiion of the kickstand switch: The kickstand switch cuts E power to the engine with it down. This prevents the mc from dragging the kickstand with the kickstand down and the engine running. My bikes, maybe not all, will allow you to start the bike in N with the kickstand down, but not if it’s in gear.

Thank you for this!! Great explanation of the kickstand switch 😊

Audio sounds real good. I don't see that listed in your equipment list as I don't think it's the Insta. May I ask what mic/recording equipment you did with the audio? Thank you.

Yay! I’m glad it sounds good haha. Shoot I’ll have to add my mic to my equipment list in the description box but in this video I use 2 different mics. The intro is the RODE wireless mic (connected to my DSLR camera). The rest of the audio is from Amazon called “PoP voice Professional Lavalier Lapel Microphone” (I’ll have the link in the description box of this video) it’s connected to my Insta 360 Ace Pro with the mic adapter. 😊
@theslowdeathoftheuniverse5 ай бұрын
you don't need to add power if you already going on 1st gear, you can release clutch and bike will ride on steady speed... MT-07 on 1st gear w/o throttle goes around 8 mph, very good speed for slow manoeuvring drills and traffic
