tip for those who make an character for an game: when u add in humanoid, do not remove the model's name. click humanoid and in properties you should see an option "DisplayDistanceType". set it to none and you wont have the tag.

The tutorials good but the thing is you kinda forget a lot of things. such as making sure the “HumanoidRootPart” front area is where your model’s facing, and changing the joints so when moving them they would properly move. Such as if you tried moving the arms it wouldn’t move properly, the arms wouldn’t go around the shoulder where the joint should be, the arms would move around where the joint is. Also I recommend if you’re lazy you can just union the parts, instead of adding them together in blender. Edit: ❤❤ Good tutorial though!

This is a nice tutorial! I got to rig my model entirely and im proud with the results, though moon animator currently costs 1200 robux and I do not have that luxury, Ive tried to use the regular roblox animation editor but it cant find my rig, chat, am I cooked? im gonna see if I can plop my mech into blender

I forgot to mention this in the video since at the time moon animator was still free, you simply have to put a humanoid in your model and that’s it and done

The short answer is no, you cannot combine regurlar rigs with skinned rigs (or bones as I like to call them) and for further proof I spent like 30+ minutes after reading this comment to try to make it work, which didn't worked, so yeah sorry, gotta stick with one

Some of which don't really need to be rigged/jointed, but rather welded. Here I just jointed them cuz I like to give my models a bit of "bounce" when animating

I was trying to make some stuff, and after I would set it up, none of the body parts moved properly. I found out that everything needs to be facing forward, but then the points for animations on the timeline after you make a movement, would not show up. So everything could only do one animation. I'm just confused, I don't get why its not working. Does everything have to be called upper arm etc? because I was naming them stuff like left thigh leftankle left knee left calf, left foot.

If i’m right, Might be wrong, i’m just trying to think in my head how it’ll work If you have a “Humanoid” In your Model (Not the HumanoidRootPart to not be confused) You can toggle stuff like HipHeight or BreakJointsOnDeath, Most of all you can find “Rig Type” or something along the word Rig, You can select r6 or r15, If this doesn't Solves your Problem, i would uh, Like if you can reply whenever you get the time to, please Also forgive me for my Late Response, Meant to Respond sooner
