Great info Joe! I will dab a bit of loc tight on the hookset that seems to help as well. Just don’t get the glue on the rug of Riches boat!🤣🤣

Thanks Ted! I had a bad experience in one of my tackle bags with super glue and never used it again…🤦🏻

I love all 6sence baits, I wish they made the jig head with a liter wire hook...

Not a fan of those ridged ones either. 6th Sense has some awesome products tho, no doubt about it.

Junk box😂😂😂 thought I was the only one!!! Great tips. I've never gotten those screw locks to work so hopefully this will help.
@live2fishofficial11 ай бұрын
Hahahahaha! Got both bags and boxes of used stuff…🤦🏻 I also have the screw locks in bulk from Amazon in my tackle bag to add to EWG hooks for those Texas rigged toads and larger soft plastics. Definitely helps keep them from slipping on long casts and dragging thru the thick stuff.

Just saying but when you screwed on the swimbait it looks like it got torn. So how is that better?
@live2fishofficial11 ай бұрын
It definitely tears into it, but instead of a straight line, it’s a torn thread - like the curl of the screw lock. So instead of a torn line, you have material between the coil tears in between creating resistance. It’s like the difference between a nail and a screw into wood. BOTH penetrate and create an opening, but one anchors with pressure while one anchors with the teeth of the threads.

I just do a drop of super glue on my smallie smasher heads.

That definitely works💯!

Keitech baits are soft and tear easily no matter what kind of jig you use. Great colors but not built to last . I prefer the wire keepers and a dab of super glue . Quick and easy . the screw lock still going to put a big hole inside the plastic . Personally I prefer the little wire and plastic baits that are more durable than keitech

What’s your go-to plastic baits?
@Side85Winder11 ай бұрын
Just trim the nose a little flat and super glue it That shit aint going now where. I had to remove mine with a knife after the tail got mangled.
@live2fishofficial11 ай бұрын
I got jaded on the superglue after a mishap in one of my bags😬…definitely works tho!
@Side85Winder11 ай бұрын
@live2fishofficial deffently need to keep in a small ziplock bag. Acetone dissolves it so you can clean it off but a pain in the ass for sure i can imagain a leak is a disaster. Also the russian cheburashka weights is a better system. Super glue the plastic to the hook of choice then you can swap and change the weight as needed.

Why would anybody screw a bait on keepers? Just push it in and it'll lock in itself. You don't have to screw in a bait and waste more time and it still end up like it would if it was on a keeper jighead. It's a sale tactic to crap on another brand and point out an issue that isn't to justify why their jighead is better. The jighead I use has keepers on it works perfectly fine
@live2fishofficial11 ай бұрын
I’m not selling anything, BUT I buy a LOT of plastics and I can tell you that adding screw locks to my EWG hooks (for example) for my topwater toads has saved my baits from wear and tear and last longer. If this can help someone save money then great! If it doesn’t work for you that’s fine too. Pushing it in tears the plastic as it goes in, unless you do the technique to lock it in with that quarter turn. Get a clear plastic bait and you’ll see what it does.
@jmccOutdoors11 ай бұрын
I like them both. Screw lock style is better once you have the size and color locked in.
