Watch his long video which by the way this guy entertaining And funny, and also make the sauce that’s made of parsley, lemon and garlic and olive oil. It’s fully explained in the long video. Why starting in a cold oven??

It gives the inside of the cabbage time to warm up and soften before the outside gets crispy. If it went into a hot oven it would burn before the cabbage cooked all the way through.

I followed exactly your instructions and it came out all burnt. 45 is way too long. Worked better at only 15-20 mins in my oven.

It's possible that either ovens are off and so the set temperature doesn't match actual temp. I recommend using an oven thermometer cause you never know with consumer-grade appliances.

I’ve made this recipe four times and I follow the instructions. As it says 45 minutes to an hour or until you can poke a fork at the hard edges and slips in easily. The Roasted burnt ends, actually gives it a lot of its flavor.

I can’t answer that because I’m Canadian and I do wash my veggies, some things just don’t happen on camera.
