I role play an undead rouge my story: when I was human I was a deadly assassin, my wanted poster was everywhere I was a very hated man until my own brother wanted to get a quick coin and burned my hideout to the ground with me inside, I died in a rage, after 20 years I was resurrected with a taste for revenge, I wanted to leave my assassins life for a while and became a shop keeper but not long after I was fired and hit with a realization of "I have to be an assassin" I found out later that my Brother is a Worgen and I have been hunting him ever since

I found my current boyfriend while roleplaying. Many people might think that the roleplayer community consists of elitists without a life, but that's not how it is at all. The community is more social and talkative than PvP or PvE communities, especially in private roleplaying servers that have set rules which are followed.

one thing I think people forget about this game is that it is a RPG which stands for role-playing game....that being said role-playing can have very fun aspects and make you feel closer to your character and the game itself giving everyone fun things to do rather than just doing quest, dungeons, and raiding.

I'd say I am quite experienced in roleplaying, and watching this really makes me want to come back to WoW. Right now. Also, a tip, if you're on Argent Dawn and want to join a military themed guild in Alliance, military guilds very often stand and recruit at Chatedral Square in Stormwind. idk about Horde tho.

Yeah noticed that, it's pretty much on an rp server, although as far as I know it's best to join guilds over websites and applications, if you are looking to join a dedicated guild.

Doronsmovies Well, It probably ensures that the guild is dedicated, but I personally think that it's just a lot of hassle for joining something you might or might not enjoy. I usually want to get invited in-game where I probably get a nice little conversation OOC with the recruiter and if I'm intrested I join and see how it goes. If I stay and RP frequently within the guild I might start thinking of joining their website (if they have one), but not necessarily even for the best RP guilds I've been in and really enjoyed. Most information and conversations seems to be done in-game anyways, and most seem to use guild website hosting that seems to expire all the time. I'm not saying that guild websites are a bad thing, it isn't bad, but I don't really see why I myself would join one, especially when it comes to IRL name and stuff. These are just my opinions tho.

Glad you're making these, I a RP as a nelf rogue with my friend who is a nelf hunter and when we RP we don't too much of a formal vocabulary as we should or at least I should, I mean my night elf fought in the War if the Ancients, a tiny bit in the war of shifting sands and through out the third war so he really isn't a peace lover after you know, watching his queen let Demons murder his parents and sister in front of him. But yeah what do you think should I be a bit more formal? I mean I don't just go over like "Aye yo Varian, HOMMIE we goin to war OR NAW!!" Only if I was a goblin

You should do one for Draenei, as they are the most ancient playable race and you NEED to know the lore in order to RP as them effectively. Also I find the Tongues addon helps a lot for your character's accent.

I roleplay on Ravenholdt and use TRP3. I Rp as a Blood Elf rogue named Hanselgotto, a Mage named Blinkinpark, a hunter who I'm leveling to 90 named Jurdgedredd, and a Death Knight named HBTB. Of course, I'm always afraid to run up to a random person and just blabber on with my Rp stuff because, well, I'm shy-ish. Any pointers on what to do? Playing on PvP servers has it's drawbacks. People can use it to troll and sometimes it's just better being able to roleplay without having to worry about being attacked. PvP gets planned but it still happens.

Ah, Defias Brotherhood server. I don't know why I picked that as my first server. Way back in WoW and I was horrible at roleplaying. I either stood there thinking of what to say or nothing at all. After a while, I just quit and played the game.

Setting aside what Moon Guard is most famous for, if you go Alliance-side you'll find RP all over the city, not just at Cathedral Square. Pubs are a good place to go. RP-PVP and other server-wide events like balls are organised on a regular basis. A lot of the guilds collaborate and run events and develop RP together.

Yeah you can find a lot of rp on servers such as Argent Dawn and a few other. But generally RP-PVP servers like Defias Brotherhood don't really have all that much rp except for guild stuff and maybe Silvermoon inn and Cathedral Square. It is very rare that you are going to find people rping in random places. Well, that is at least from my 4-5 years of experience playing on that server.

Frostwolf isn't such an issue since they're still hanging around. My character is a human rogue, He's a gilneas refugee as a kid he liked to sneak out of the city and explore he did it all the time, But was when he was returning home he could see the city in ablaze, All he could hear and see was wolf like creatures and screaming, He ended up on a little boat with only a couple of survivors, He's now working as a mercenary in stormwind killing for coin as he wonders if his parents are still alive as worgen or did they die in gilneas. So... I am curious... I ran into someone who was up to some sinister ish on an Rp, tailed him a while, learning things, all slow and steady like, real chill... all of a sudden, he has this huge ass line of macros set up to *clears throat* 1) Teleport behind me. 2) Attack me. 3) Put me into a headlock. 4) Interrogate me, and then threaten my life. 5) Hold me down in the headlock. ... All in like a literal split second, so it's like all in one move. I just wanted to know if this was a normal occurance? Cuz when I countered by turning into the person and "rolling" out of the headlock, which, reminder, is an actual technique in reality used to get out of headlocks, he got mad and ignored me, telling me to learn to Rp. I'm fine with figuring out how to Rp 'properly' here... but what infuriates me is when someone says this, and ignores me WITHOUT telling me how to improve... To put into perspective... in three lines, roughly a few seconds between each one, y'know, cuz I had to actually TYPE the moves... what *I DID* in *RESPONSE*... 1) Turn in toward the threat, getting out of his headlock. 2) Elbow his gut in the process. 3) Grapple away and out of danger. (Was using an Outlaw Rogue.) Someone clarify to me if this is legitimate? This took place on Moongaurd, with another Rogue. Again. I have no problem with being in the wrong, SO LONG as someone explains to me wtf I did wrong. I felt cheated, and felt that this was childish for him to react in the way he did. ... lol'd... on the other hand, I am suddenly reminded of Nixxiom's top 10 roleplayers, #9. *_GOD_*.

When ur playing rp with good rp player , you all just like normal wow characters not super powered , so when ur in the forest and 2 guys come in and type , /em attack you and sap you , u can't type /em fight them and killed them both , so they have to follow you after u captured them , u do it like its real u know , just try it for a week , trust me

Is there any penalty of changing realms? Would I get some sort of time frame I couldn't switch back to my original realm, or does it effect my previous characters in any way? I'm not talking about transferring toons, just simply changing realms and making new toons.

+Tyler Kennedy There's no penalty, you can play on as many realms as you want. You will notice in the video that Doron has toons on multiple realms. You can log between your characters on various servers without any restrictions. The only limit is the number of characters you can create: 11 per server/realm, with a max of 50 per account.

TotalRP is a better addon imo, but the issue is that a large portion of the rp community uses myroleplay and you cant use both at the same time.
