I figured this out in my DDHC before finding this video today but it was after months of owning it. Damn it this info should be included with every hellcat purchase so you stop trying to use the paddles and hitting the rev limiter all the time like a clown. Great video 🍻

Hahaha. Sorry to hear that, man.
@ReignRegime2 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude. I have an SRT Jeep and I was trying to figure this out: In sport mode you can hold down the paddle and it will shift for you on go In track it forces you to shift UNLESS you do like you did in the video. Thanks! I was told sport and track displace different percentages to the rear wheels which is super important in roll racing

I love hearing when my videos help someone. Glad it was useful to you. I feel like a dork making videos like this one, but I figured it would have been helpful to me at some point. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have fun.

The launching in 2nd in manual mode and then flipping it to auto is how I used to do it in the charger, I completely even forgot about this since I have a DDHC now and don't race unless it's from a dig lol She is stock for now I don't need to be gapped by N/A cars doing 60 rolls lol
@Almighty72662 жыл бұрын
I did not know about holding the left paddle shifter method when I drove a scatpack I just downshifted to whatever gear I wanted and when I hit the gas it would automatically shift for me
@FastWorldProblems2 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Not sure specifically about the Scat, but if you do that in the TH, it runs all the way past the shift point to the rev limit - which aren’t always the same RPM.
@jerryaguilera23203 жыл бұрын
Why you have to do move the shifter on manual mode I thought you just put in track mode & drop the gears with the right speed & just smash the pedal . Is it because your tune?
@FastWorldProblems3 жыл бұрын
Nothing to do with the tune. If you don’t move the shifter to manual mode and back to auto as described, it’ll spin all the at up to redline and not perform properly and rev higher than advised. You have to move the shifter like I described so that it shifts automatically. Or you can try to just shift it manually with the paddle shifters, but you’re not going to be as consistent as the computer.

Bro!! I’ve had my hawk for 1.5 years. Got it since new and have 24k miles. I have raced a ton! And I’ve been doing it wrong this entire time!! I’ve been racing in track or sport and blipping throttle. Most of the time, it drops it to lowest gear but not always and there is a delay. I feel dumb as hell. Thank you very much. If you don’t mind. Can you please tell me best rpm and gear for 40 50 60 Roll? Thanks!!!
@FastWorldProblems Жыл бұрын
Hahaha. I’m glad it helped, man! When you hood the left paddle, it’ll automatically put you in the best rpm and gear, so don’t worry too much about that. But I’ve found that 50 rolls kinda suck for our gear ratios. 40 is pretty good if I remember right and 60 is fine, but 50 just sucks. Try to avoid that speed for a start if you can. Lower is better especially if you’re racing a rwd car or truck since your AWD will give you the advantage there, but most racers worth their salt know they can’t usually hook down low unless they have some serious tires and suspension. Hope that helps.
@joemomma707 Жыл бұрын
@@FastWorldProblems thanks!! 2nd is for the 40 roll and 3rd for the 60 right? What do you use for brakes? I just had to replace all rotors and brakes. I do like the oem bite so I went with oem. But there is that demon performance option that I have been thinking about. I just doubt they have that oem bite. Let me know what you use please and if it has same bite as the oem. Holy shit. These brakes are expensive!!!! Why?!
@FastWorldProblems Жыл бұрын
Yeah, man! I know. I replaced mine when the stocks were worn out. I went with the demon rotors and HPS pads. I’ve been happy with them and bite is good. @joemomma3872

tried this in my 21 slimited 5.7 but felt similar to just smashing the peddle whilst rolling without doing the whole switch back and forth out of manual, was i doing it wrong ?
@FastWorldProblems2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, you may not be making enough power for it to make much of a difference. In the supercharged platform, it makes a HUGE difference to have the vehicle in the powerband. When you’re racing, if you’re not in the right place in the powerband and not in the proper gear, you’re going to be a half second behind whoever you’re racing while you’re waiting for your truck to drop gears after you smash the gas.
@luissandoval6237 Жыл бұрын
You don’t need to move your manual shifter just down shift your pedals
@FastWorldProblems Жыл бұрын
If you don’t move the shifter, it’ll go all the way to redline instead of shifting at the shift points.

Dose it work on jeep srt 14+
@FastWorldProblems3 жыл бұрын
So long as you have the ability to move it to manual shift mode and easily move back to auto shift mode, it should work the same. 👍🏻
