I don't turn the bottom of the jacket up instead I roll up from the bottom and tuck it into the hood. You can do exactly the same method with trousers but fold the waistband down a few inches then roll from the bottom of the trousers and tuck into the fold using same method as shown in this video.

I might be wrong here, but I'm not sure the folds and tight rolls are good for the waterproof membrane. 🤔

Nothings good for it mate hahaha 🤣 I don’t think it would have any major difference tbh! Better then it getting scratched up and pressed against stoves, gloves and other random bits inside a bag I’d say!
