Thanks to you I no longer have a hole in my roof. The instructional portion of this video made it easy to understand how to do this sort of repair. The anecdotes about naysayers helped me overcome my hesitation to actually do this job. I repaired that hole in my roof for $73 dollars in materials, skills, and confidence to do it 20 more times.

People try to discourage you because they envy you. 20 years ago I was about to go to basic army training. A so called friend would tell me I wasn’t going to make it. He wasn’t even convincing. I went and there were times I didn’t think I was going to make it and I’d remember him saying that and I would push on even harder. I did well, passing every test above average, the drill sgt. made me a squad leader taking on responsibilities I didn’t even want. Neighbors have told me to “just hire someone, etc.” like they do and the people they hire don’t do it right and basically stole money from them. I’ve lightly been in the construction trade and have seen how people cut corners because by the time it becomes an issue they’re long gone and scam people for materials. Thank you for making these videos and congrats on 100,000 subscribers!

Hello young man this weekend coming up I have to do a patch on a 1939 house I believe my father-in-law when he passed away he gave it to my wife now I have to fix it all up lol the piping shot well the plumbing is shot but we have a major water leak in the roof that attacked the sheet rock in the living room so I gotta fix that before I can fix the sheet rock. I’ve watched all your videos and I’ve learned so much without you sir I would be lost thank you and God bless you I know that God put you on this earth for a reason and this is your calling to help dummy people like me tackle some house improvement jobs around because nowadays who can you trust to do honest work. I say that because here in Dallas Texas there’s always someone out to get you but I’m not going to mention any names I watch some videos on how to repair central air conditioning units and I have saved myself probably $2000 worth of repairs alone. But with your video sir I don’t know I’ve saved thousands and thousands of dollars. God bless you sir I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to bring you lots of love peace prosperity and safety for your family and friends because Jesus Christ is on his way✝️✝️✝️

awesome.. I was in the same spot about a year ago.. I had to cut around the shingles on one end! it had a valley from the top.. 3 tab shingles were a bit tricky. I had a small pin hole which is really tough to find.. which I think I have gotten. it. thanks for your video

Amen to that. Negative people try to drag us down to there level. Which they don't realize God gave us the gift of a brain and will power and the strength to battle through anything. And what people don't realize is we should all be up lifting each other and help others to succeed where they could not alone. This is what helps create a great society for the next generation if only people could see that the way we do man. And a very helpful video man I appreciate it
