this is a great idea! i'm Muslim and i'd love to have a lil prayer room with candles, a diffuser, plants, and warm lighting to really inspire me to calm down and connect with God, so i'm planning on doing that when i own an apartment/ house

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love the cracked table - maybe still use it but put some gold paint over it (kintsugi) so long as it's structurally sound, obvs. I think it is a great representation of our brokenness and coming as you are to Christ/the oasis room. Also it'll look super nice and aesthetically pleasing

I love this! A place dedicated to be focused on prayer, I'd definitely adopt this :) , especially when it's so easy to be distracted , it's beautiful to have a place where that focuses on our Saviour and is intentional. And your book collection is immaculate (no pun intended) You guys did such a lovely job with that room and it's such an inspirational thing that I'd love to do one day. God bless you guys!

Such a beautiful room! I really felt the calm and the cozy feeling.🌼 An idea for your table is to fill that crack with glitter and let that crack be an imperfect perfection. Take care!

next time you install carpet if you can take out the base boards that way when you put the base boards back on the wall you will be able to hide any imperfects. you can also get an electric sander to sand down any bumbs and you can get a dry wall filler things to get rid of holes

so satisfying! Only disruption was having to switch volume all the time cause the music was rather loud but then I couldn't hear you speak and I had to turn up, but that happens sometimes I guess ^^ Loved it anyway!

Hey Krist! Can I ask how you found your church? Ive only been attending online sermons (and the church is too far from where I live) and I'd like to start attending one in person but I have no idea what to look for in a church 🤔

I was thinking the same thing, and would especially recommend consulting with her church leaders about if they are happy with the books in the room, since church elders wouldn’t want heretical or even just wishy washing teachings in the church reading room.
