Yo, i fixed it but then tried your process again and bricked it again lol but then fixed it again. But now i dont know why your process wont work. I literally did the same process on the same phone (the one i bricked is galaxy s5 t-mobile, the other one is sprint) two days ago, and it worked. Do you know why for this phone it keeps getting stuck in boot?

Unfortunately this method did not work for me (Samsung g5, Metro) I tried multiple times and even after forced reboot it would never go past the Samsung screen, and gave me a recovery error message, Had to use odin to reinstall stock rom. Maybe an update is needed on the video?

+cliveo92 I'm not sure you can restore deleted video with root Unless if you backed it up using online storage (google drive, drobox, ... etc) I just rooted my phone to use apps that need root access I never had problems with my phone soo far And it actually work see in the video You don't need to backup your files . try formatting your phone from the recovery menu Power off your device completely. ... Boot recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home and Power, all at the same time. Release all buttons when the Galaxy S5 screen flickers and the main Recovery screen will appear.
