Try having the rubber band in oil before applying into your hair helps them snatch less

Okay, dumb question. But do you apply some sort of sunscreen to your exposed scalp? Asking because I always make sure to not have parts in my hair whenever I’m in sunny weather. Burnt my scalp too often. 😂 I can’t imagine you’d want to cover up your nice hairstyle with a hat.

Haha 😄 never thought of that. But I've never had a problem with my exposed scalp, just feeling the breeze a little too much.

Use pure aloe vera & a waterproof sunscreen/ sun block SPF 30 or higher daily when sunny weather.

It should work, though it may not last very long as a hairstyle Flat twists are looser than cornrows

I had it for two weeks (pretty much how long I keep all my styles for) but the rubberbands snap randomly, obviously because they were hella cheap lol.

M.D Audi Haha I blame it on protective styling 😄 I just got a pack of the small black ones. What worked for me was working with oiled hands to make the slippery so less likely to snag.

I don't moisturize my hair daily, because it's almost always in a protective style, so it doesn't dry up as fast.

can you do crochet on these?

They're not as firm so I won't recommend it, plus the rubber bands are fragile. So the tightening as you crochet would probably snap them.
