It's obvious that Kawhi was using the Lakers as a backup/leverage against the Clippers since it was uncertain if they could get that second star he demanded. Only Lakers fans would take it as him having it out for them. It wasn't a secret either. The Lakers knew the risks of waiting, but given the upside (a possible dynasty), they had to take the gamble.

As a spurs fan and looking back at it, Kawhi seemed to have screwed over a lot of teams just to get to L.A… he could have been the man on both the spurs or especially Toronto (I thought he was so dumb for leaving) …..but him leaving in the long run just helped us get wemby in some way ….
