6:16 ETA you should leave the CPU 0 box unticked next time as it makes it easier for the Android system to run while your playing a game or whatever you do with it. Just so your device has some RAM left for itself. It actually helps a lot especially on less powerful devices

This makes me wonder if with Windows on ARM getting better that ARM powered steam deck type devices would work well and have their own advantages. Like an Nvidia SoC made for these types of devices/laptops that also provides excellent battery life.

More like Docker - it doesn't really run Windows on the system, but rather some very small parts of it.

Look into "SideQuestVR"'s list of game ports for what can be sideloaded right now onto the Quest 3 etc. It's hard to wait until Christmas to treat myself one of those (512gb model) as a gift.

If you look up USB-C/USB3.0 flash drive with SD card reader there are quite a few options to check out. I've seen some that support both SD and microSD cards

Since similar software on Mac (Crossover) allows you to do so, there’s a chance it may run. But it’s only a chance - you can just try and see if it works. Just make sure your version doesn’t contain complicated activation protocols.

After the success of the Steam deck using proton, Valve should really look into running games on arm based devices, it would be a dream to just be able to start a game on my pc and continue on my android phone with my cloud stored save, without having to repurchase the game. Seeing Fallout 4 running like that while being emulated shows that mobile chips are now way beyond the point of being able to run light indie games

Tried to download fallout 3, i used gog but when it finished installing and i launched it all it did was open for a split second then close again, any way of fixing this?

The game installation takes a long time, I disabled the Winlator app's battery optimization. I believe this may be necessary as Winlator may crash during installation. I also left the charger cable connected. I'll come back later to say if it worked on the Galaxy S22 Ultra... I'm still at 11% of the installation!!!!

issue i have installing a small game (megaman battle network collection) is that it always freezes up around 70% of the install. any ideas?

copy the fully installed PC over the 70% frozen version, maybe just maybe the remaining 30% is just in the game's directory and not in other places and it might work, you do need some luck on your side though.

I guess I should clarify, winlator runs, but when I try to run the offline backup installer for gog version of Fallout 3 it does nothing when I click it. Then the app freezes. Same for New Vegas and Oblivion. If I transfer all the files from the installed version on my laptop to the sd8g3 phone I'm trying to play it on, and make a shortcut to the exe file it boots up to a black screen. Hope this helps somebody figure this out. I've tried all the settings. Closest I've gotten was using and older version of winlator. I got oblivion running but the touch controls wouldn't work. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before these issues are sorted out.​@@laminnabam2299

Really well? He didn't invent Winlator. It has been high profile for like 2 years now. There's another emulator, Mobox with better performance. Winlator is just easy to showcase for normies. Mobox runs GTA V better for one. Stuff like Devil May Cry 5, the older COD and Battlefield titles etc

i am running on my odin2 8gversion . most scene can achieve 50+ fps, but cpu reach 83degrees hot.....i limite fps to 40 and temperature drop to 70, super nice. ... control pad is also native , no inputbridge and xinputbridge needed..........so happy

@@Vitamina-C no neea at all.use the builtin wine 8.0.2. make sure odin2 controller is set as xinput, trigger as digital, fallout4 ingame setting with controller on. Launch fallout4.exe, and you have a native controller now!!! LT and RT can not be hold when moving L/R stick(maybe bug? i already report these to odin official), you can swap LT/LB and RT/RB function in game setting.

Sound similar to games that refuse to launch if you have Cheat Engine running in the background, like Mortal Kombat 11, the solution was a hacked replacement for the game's executable file. Sooo, good luck? Maybe a cracked version of the game might be the next thing to try if there is no replacement exe file.

Not very likely, most games use files they install elaewhere (like in the user directory or other places like the my games directory) and there are those that may add to the registry. So nah, unless you are playing a really old game (or a fan game) you aren't likely to be able to copy and paste a legit purchased game.

if it's anything like the switch emulator suyu and yuzu, then expect your phone to be too hot to hold, get a controller that the phone latches onto or place the phone on a stand and play it without touching the phone. Doing that I played over 8 hours in one sitting of Dragon Quest XI S on my samsung phone, plus many other multi-hour gaming sessions, all with a much too hot to hold smartphone. Having a blast playing the switch version of Dragon Quest X Offline in fan translated English (relax, I bought the retail copy of both DQ games on steam and switch, I pay for what I play...if it is still being sold of course.)

So, I have been a console gamer since day one but recently dabbled into PC gaming and I absolutely love G.O.G policy on DRM. I plan on supporting them moving forward, do they have all the PC games in their store, absolutely not but then again, I have no intentions of buying or trying out all the games out there just the ones I would like to experience. Is it advisable to buy an ODIN2 Max with 16GB of RAM now that apps such as Winlator are steadily maturing or would a Pro 12GB model suffice? I'm well aware that 12GB is overkill just for native Android usage, thoughts on this everybody Great tutorial by the way.
