Thank you for reminding me to do something I should have done 2 or even 3 years ago. Lumps of dust were lurking at the bottom of the case, and the dark grey dirt and grime that I removed from the fan and heat sink were shocking. I went through countless cotton buds. The CPU is running far, far cooler now. In fact I am astonished at the difference, and "Core Temp" software proves it !

The liquid that comes out of these cans is organic solvents (difluoroethane with this product) which do not conduct electricity and evaporate within a few minutes without leaving residue. Also, you should only use computer duster in well ventilated rooms or outside. That stuff is toxic. Further more, it is not the chemistry that cools the can but the physics. The process is called adiabatic cooling.

Tip, make sure when you're cleaning the fans to not let the fans spin, it just traps the dust and doesn't help much at all

Stick a pen between the blades and then put a vaccuum cleaner nozzle right to the fan (inlet) opening and have it suck out the dust.

Summer started, it's hot and it's been at least a year since last time I was cleaning my PC and when I tried it it was too cold outside and my can was getting freezing cold and was refusing to blow the air quickly which cut off my cleaning process in the middle of it.

Fans cooling the parts well=good performance=more pc life... If u havent kept them in a good shape for few years no wonder your pc will run bad. And even one good clean up wont do the job. I mean once you screw up it can't get any better but if you're being consistent and clean regularly the pc gonna be all right. Or at least not as bad as it could have become. Dust i think is the worst pc enemy. I've had so many times problems with fans making loud noises as the winter comes. And i've given money to fix it. Why in the winter? I used to move my pc a lot because we live in a small house. And im a guy not very up to cleaning regularly even though i intended to do it often before buying the pc. And it would collet a lot of dust and by the time winter comes what i've concluded myself is that when it's cold the dust sticks to the fans. Literally glues and prevents them from running normally. I think this is the most reasonable reason. And every year as winter steps in and the pc is dirty some of the fans start to make noises. So clean your pc or at least try to keep em in a place where not much dusts gets. Nobody will telll you the reason they all want to take your money :D

Basically you need to keep the spray can in the middle level when spraying to get the dust off the tricky spot then you can tilt a bit up and down suppose to done each time that way when cleaning your pc and gadgets?
