Very useful video Paddleboarding has also become very popular in the UK. Last week I hired a SUP for my first attempt, but was a bit annoyed to get a text saying due to high winds at the coast, all kayak / SUP rentals had been cancelled. The wind didn't seem that strong to me, but in hindsight, it was the right thing to do. Seeing this video lets you see how the wind can affect a paddleboarder. Regards from Whitley Bay, UK

When you go out go out against the wind. It makes coming home much easier. However, occasionally the wind will change and you'll have countervailing winds in both directions. It's a great sport that keeps you fit. I'll be out paddling in Miami beach tomorrow.

I’ve been surfing for over 12 years if you carry a kayak paddle double-sided paddle with you strap to your bored you could always sit down and kayak to safety

Was the paddle being used in the correct direction? Remember the blade is to be sloping away from you. Common mistake.
