We used a 3" PVC pipe to clear the approx. 2.5" lip of the pan.

we have metal pan ( we didn’t choose it ) and it has a PVC drain line connected too :-(

Of course you would do this with nothing around the washer. If I had this much room around the washer I wouldn't have any issues taking it out of the drain pan. Why don't try taking out the washer in a drain pan with a built in counter? How will you raise it to put your pvc under it?

Ahaha mine is in a closet and if I put that pvc under there the top dryer would get stuck on top 😂
