How to sail a small boat out of Portsmouth Harbour

Thanks for another really useful video. I must confess that last time we came out from Gosport I lost concentration coming through the harbour entrance and found myself in the middle of the channel with a large car ferry just behind me. As you can imagine, quite rightly, I wasn't popluler. However, KHM (as it is now) called us and we got out of the way and apologiesed. They were very gracious and I was less than impressed with myself. Hopefully leasson learnt!

thankyou for this video, we did this at the end of October, and it was quite choppy once we were out of harbour, you also need eyes in back of your head, to see whats going on all around....

Really like ur videos ur very knowledgable. Never understood the small boat channel there, always seems like a free for all.....even in ur vids yachts r passing either side of each other...red to red when head on, surely?
