A tip that my instructor gave me. If you need to make nails straight measure from the nuckle down to the nail bed, that would give you the exact middle of the finger nail, I would always use a nail file since they are long enough, once you figure that out put the nail forms in the clients fingers and work your magic. Hope this helps. Always use as reference the nuckles to make straight nails. I had to learn this for my own nails. my finger tips From my pointer and middle finger are crooked to one side, so to make my nails straight I use my nuckles as reference.

Bonnie Bohannon u are so right i doubt they get updated in the nail world cause they doing the same stuff, your actually better off trying it on a pratice hand yourself...

Bonnie Bohannon the Asians you refer to are usually Viet. And ues many doesn’t use forms nor pinch because it’s not how they are taught, BUT doesn’t mean that some does it according to the book. You just need to find the right one. Don’t judge a whole group by a few bad apples.

Same where I live. All the nail places are "in and out" cheap ($20 full set/$45 pink & white) Asian salons. No hate, just not for me. They grind your nail bed with a freaking ELECTRIC FILE!!! I had to learn to do my own nails 4 years ago because if this. Still haven't tried sculpting on my self, probably won't even try.
@florencedionne69266 жыл бұрын
Also most asian salons use mma which is very toxic for you. It can lead to the loss of the fingers its no joke
@JVonD887 жыл бұрын
Do you find the one-ball method easier or more difficult than using multiple ball methods? I feel like it might be easier because it somewhat levels out on its own, and you just need to control the shape, and be mindful of the liquid to powder ratio. But I've never done it because I'm a novice and I'm too chicken.
@zoeradford46866 жыл бұрын
Jessica Durant if you’re a novice I’d recommend more of a 3-4 ball method because you REALLY need to have the perfect ratio
