Amazing difference between before and after. Great job, I wish my pontoon boat looked like that. ✌

Thank you. We have customers bring them in from all over the U.S. all the time and we do them in 2 days. And we even clear coat then now. But thanks for watching and if you're ever in our area give us a shout.

Did mine 3 years ago and applied Shark Hide. The Shark Hide is still hanging in there, pontoons are like mirrors. I may try to make it through next year before I strip them and redo it

Does this process remove pitting?
@dpgpolishingandcustoms2 жыл бұрын
Sanding is what gets the pits out. So sand low enough to get out your imperfections and then back higher to cut And polish

Use menzerna 439 t bar it’s the best cutting bar by a mile
@dpgpolishingandcustoms2 жыл бұрын
I totally agree now. Back then when I made this video I didn't have a clue yet. Lol I just made another video of another pontoon using menzerna but my wife hasn't posted it yet.

Amazing difference we’ll done. I just polished mine by hand and it made a difference but nothing close to that. What type of wheel is that and polish? Also after the cut do you hand buff it out? Thanks!
@dpgpolishingandcustoms4 жыл бұрын
It's a renegade orange wheel with the renegade orange tripoli bar. After I went to the green Smooth cut wheel with the green renegade bar. I actual didn't hand polish after but you can it never hurts. Thanks for the questions and like and subscribe.

I’ve got some heavy mineral buildup on my toons from previous owner keeping it in the water full time. Even a 10:1 muriatic acid isn’t getting all of it. How should I go about sanding it off?

Clearly this is a fresh water pontoon…how about a salt water with some pits in them???…will this work?
@dpgpolishingandcustoms2 жыл бұрын
If the pits are deeper you might have to go a bit lower with the sandpaper but as long as you sand back up to 600 or 800 you should come out with a pretty good finish
