How do you say hawk in Irish? or a red tail hawk in Irish? Is Iad wolfs, big cats, eagles, hawks horses, Como say dese in Irish I love mostly all animals!

I’m not sure what a hawk is in Irish. I mention wolf, cat ( and tiger at the beginning which is just tíogar), eagle and horse in the video though 👍🏻

I got two rescue dogs. Prolly bout 30 different breeds in em. Both BIG and kinda ferocious-looking but very friendly. Big guy’s called Riddick, sweet girl’s called Eris. Each bout twice the size and then some of sir Snoop Dog there. Anyways great video, I’ll have my mad Gaeilge skillz ready to go for the comments on the quantum mechanics one. Slán.

That's very funny about your bat experience! Well in retrospect at least... Moving right along. Bats do have eyes that are better at seeing in the early dawn and dusk compared to Humans and daylight living animals. They further developed Echolocation, which is similar to RADAR - as an analogy, to assist moving about in absolute darkness. That was really helpful! It is really hard to find someone explains the pronunciation of all these Irish terms and words! I am searching for the pronunciation of an Irish animal name maybe someone here can help me out. Lion is written "leon" in Irish if I am right - like the name. Is it pronounced like Leon - the short form of Leonard - or is the pronunciation like the English "lion"? I am not sure... Would be awesome if someone could explain that to me :)

You'll find many difference ways to say the same things in Irish. Depends on your dialect or preference really. Both are accepted and understood.

In Donegal in the Ulster Dialect it’s generally pronounced Madú rua, although still spelt madra rua( red dog btw just if you didn’t know it may help with learning)
