Very nicely done. I feel you do this to my expectations, checking over for hair sticking out, etc.

Yes I also love the extra detail on how to do the lines, etc. I have my toy poodle groomed at 6 weeks but if I could afford it I’d do it every 3. I have to tools to do the upkeep in between but this video was great informational. Nicely done, you’ve gained a subscriber

@@angelagrater4193 thank you so much for subscribing 💘 it’s definitely hard to find the time to groom my dogs every 3 weeks, I probably give my dogs a hair cut every 5-6 weeks and bath every week to every second week🐩

This video made me follow. Most informative video I’ve found so far to help me groom my standard. He grows hair so fast he gets a trim every 3 weeks and the cost adds up fast but even tho I’m doing it I still want him looking his best. Thank you!

Excellent instructions! Easy to follow and the camera work was spot on. Always showing exactly what she was doing. I will use this to help me with my senior standard poodle. Any tips on how to support my senior poodle while I groom her? Her back legs are weak & her neck tires causing her head to drop a bit. She’s very good & used to stand perfectly still for entire groom. Now, we take a lot of breaks sometimes taking a couple of days to finish. Thank you for your exceptional instructional video!

Glad it was helpful! with my older dog, I groom him, with him either sitting or lying down. I groom him how he is most comfortable. I think its ok to give her breaks and groom her over a few days, allowing her to be more comfortable:)

What a good dog! Mine is so hard to groom!
@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials2 жыл бұрын
He is a very good boy. If your boy is hard to groom start with basic grooming, go back to starting to brush his back only then working down his legs. Table manners is a very important part of grooming process, begin by placing him on a non slip Matt on a table and work your hand down his body, then the next day do the same, then slowly introduce the brush, let me know how you go💕

Thank you as your tutorials are the best I’ve been watching. Although::; it would be a lot easier to see what your doing if it had been a lighter colored poodle as with him being so black, it’s really hard to see really what your doing as in scissoring hair top know. I’ve been binging on Poodle cuts as I’m learning how to groom my tiny toy poodles coat. I have my clipper set, comb, slicker brush, nail clippers, but got to order a scissor set. I don’t want to make any mistakes and her too knotch I’ve never liked as her groomer always cuts it at an angle like a mullet and not rounded of. Soo that’s my goal is to get it rounded off. Thank you. I will once again scroll thru your videos for an in depth grooming on a light colored poodle. Phoebe has a band around her waist as well as her neck.

@@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials hello. I am not the original poster but have the same issue. Being new to this is there a smaller scissor? (With the curve as I imagine that is important). Thank you

Ridiculous comment. Doesn’t make one bit of sense. You were so nervous for Snoopy. Are you always this dramatic? Extremely large scissors? What are you insinuating, that she was using hedge shears made for trimming bushes?? Again, you’re ridiculous.
@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials2 жыл бұрын
Hello, very sorry for the late . Yes, if you are new to grooming you can use smaller scissors. I would begin with a 6.5” straight scissor and practicing scissoring with the tips of the scissors ✂️
