How to Sculpt an Edgeletto Nail Extension

Hi guys
Today I’m with the gorgeous Abby from Mybeautifulnightmare and I’m going ti show you how a sculpt a gothic EdgeLetto nail.
I’ve prepped the nails and I’m going to crease my form by folding it down the centre and then apply it to the nail. Use Dehydrator and Primer and then go in, sculpting the nail like a stiletto nail, but there’s a crease in the form. Avoid patting the spine to let it build up.
Pinch the nail to enhance the spine and then paint the nail. I’m using a metallic black so I’m going to top coat first, then apply the colour and then top coat again. Finish with cuticle oil.

That might look _really_ cool! If only I had some of that cat eye polish I'd break out the practice tips and build an edge nail just so I could see how it looks. Personally, I loathe the "edge" shaped nails and I would NEVER wear them myself. I feel the same way about stilettos because they just aren't practical and could seriously injure a pet, a child, a lover or even the wearer. I know I'd poke out my own eye or one of my chihuahuas' eyes if I ever tried to wear them. I'll *never* have pointy nails, it's tapered square with rounded corners for me, thankyouverymuch. I already had a one-eyed chihuahua once. He lost his eye in a dog fight with a shih tzu named Falcore. He was named after the dragon in The Never Ending Story because they looked like twins! By the end of the next day the chihuahua, Cornelius, was back home with his left eyelids stitched shut. Sadly, Falcore went to doggie heaven for his aggressive behavior. After attacking Cornelius, I just couldn't trust him with other dogs or kids anymore. And last, but not least my son was given an adorable, little Chinese shar pei puppy he named Dixie, who was as wrinkly and sweet as a dried prune. It was a hectic, stressful, couple of days, but all was well in the end.

Nirvana is not Goth or Emo, Nirvana is 90s Grunge Rock. Although, I don't think how someone likes to dress means they can't enjoy all types of music and evolve their taste in music over time as many people do. But also, I find it odd that bands seem to get classified what type they are based on the physical appearance and fashion of the members (or specifically the lead singer/front man) rather than the music itself. Like for example just listening to The Cure they don't sound particularly Goth or Emo, they actually are quite upbeat and sweet a lot. I suppose look has always been a unearthed of it though. For example KISS was considered such Hard Rock (or Heavy Metal, although now I think they are called Glam Metal, but I don't know that people even used that term back then) and they were so "dangerous" for teens to listen to, so "vulgar" so "anti-authority" mostly because of their very unusual looks and clothing and I suppose for their antics, but they sound very bubble gum pop to me with their jolly tunes, like I love the music, but there's nothing heavy about it to me. Yet there were parents and schools and town governments losing their minds about them, proclaiming their name means Knights In Santan's Service and getting them banned from the radio, and even going as far as burning their records and stuff. Well, sorry this got long, I just thought that conversation was so weird in the beginning of this. You're Goth, do you listen to Nirvana? Don't get me wrong, dress how you like, call yourself what you like, but don't pigeonhole yourself into listening (or worse not listening) to certain bands and genres because of your fashion sense.

In my experience most goths care more about the music than the fashion. I don’t follow her so I wouldn’t know what her real views are but goth fashion came after the music like many other alt genres/subcultures

To people who aren’t super into a alt subculture it looks like we all dress the same then conform or preferences based on that buy it’s usually the opposite. Its honestly quite interesting. Looks to be more sturdy than a long stilleto.. I'm a very busy housewife with extra long stilleto nails. With all the cleaning, laundry and yard work I do on a daily I break a nail at least once a day. Luckily I'm able to fix them almost immediately when they break. I'm so addicted to the extra long stilleto nails that no matter how many I fix a week I still need them. I'd love to give this a try perhaps I won't break as many. They are magnificent!
