Central Park is a treasure; I’ve been fortunate enough to visit twice, both times during October. Spectacular. I’m from Winnipeg and our city gem is Assiniboine Park (1904) which was designed by Frederick Todd, a student and collaborator of Olmsted’s. There are significant similarities between both urban parks. Thanks for the wonderful video, it made me want to visit again soon

It would be nice to showcase the more northern parts of Central Park. I know the southern part is the more touristy part but there is so much beauty in the Northern part North of 96th such as the North Woods, East Meadow, conservancy garden, and Harlem Meer to name a few spots.

We'd also suggest the Conservatory Garden on the east side off 5th Avenue. Absolutely beautiful, stunning gardens. North end was under renovation when we were there in May 2024, but the south end, surrounding Burnett Fountain, was well worth our visit! North end was excellent when we saw it in October 2022. Squirrels and chipmunks love it, too.

Jon,,,is there a simple way that you can teach a newbie about how to navigate NYC subways. When I go into the Subways I lose all sense of direction. Can't tell uptown or downtown. I am scared to death of the subways. FYI,I live in CT 50 miles away and Metro North takes me into GCT.
