When you watch fighters, don't just sit there waiting for someone to get knocked out. Watch what they are doing and ask yourself why. I know a lot of people dislike Floyd Mayweather Jr. and that is ok. But he was on top of everything in the ring. Everything he did had a purpose. He is my favorite fighter to watch to this day. He was surgical. Everyone talks about his shoulder roll or "Philly shell." That was just one of many defensive tactics he used.

I totally agree, Mayweather Jr is by far the best skilled fighter I've ever watched and I've been watching boxing since the late great Mohammed Ali, to Mike Tyson to Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar De La Hoya, Pernell Whitaker, Manny Pacquiao, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Durran, they were all good, but Mayweather Jr is by far the best I've ever seen fight. He gets a lot of criticism but he's a smart fighter, he knows how to stick n move and has a great defense. I don't know how many of my friends hated that I would root for him and that's cuz what I saw was a very smart fighter who was hard to hit and was fast when he'd hit you, one hit to his 4 hits is what you saw out of him and he'd beat you by points. These fools that say goes heads up are the ones that get knocked the fuck out. Why you trying to go to sleep for? Floyd never tried going to sleep, he was putting foolios to sleep...lol🤣

Have to watch out... this is where someone with good fundamentals is going to start feinting, getting a read, looking to move you into a shot. Double jab you. If they try leaning, dipping away as you fire a long right hand... you can aim at their shoulder and land a clean head shot as they move into it. Well somrone did this to me lol. I was so frustrated by a great double jab, feinting, changing timing on the jab. Then started sinking right hands to my body. I started reacting to the right hand and they put a left hook upstairs behind it. The more i tried to create space the more momentum he had. Humbled by a 45 yr old man in sparring. Felt like a child. They didn't break a sweat, i was so reactive and looking to create space he explained i was doing all the work for him.

Obviously drilling is crucial but its important to approach ur drills with this mindstate of training how you’d fight instead of just making it about perfecting a certain drill without actually understanding/visualizing the scenario which you are drilling for. Like i said we need that too but this type of practical advice is whats really missing from youtube boxing content in my opinion. I also suggest coach d baltimore boxing too. I love boxing/the sweet science, but i learned a long time ago that the ultimate equalizer to it is MMA wrestling in particular. I dont care how fast youre in a street fight, or how hard you could punch, none of it matters if you cant defend a takedown attempt. 🤷🏾

We learn from how we execute and plant our feet, then the rest follows and flows in defence and attack. Master Bruce Lee spoke of rhythm and broken rhythm both in defence and attack. From different styles and attack, the art of execution and delivery starts from below the feet, stance, posture, waist and shoulder roll in both defence and attack a style which I have observed and seen that Joe Louis had, Muhammad Ali had and Floyd Maywather implemented against an opponent either taller or shorter. I believe that Joe Frazier used that when he first defeated Ali. In the second and third bouts, I felt that Ali could still not deal properly with Frazier's left hook, a punch wich nearly got Ali nkocked out and defeated by Henry Cooper from the Uk. Every hero or super hero, has an Achilles heel or soft or sweet spot despite of skills
