I appreciate all of your inputs but personally, I find grappling from a relatively dominant mount, keeping a distance with kicks is way less exhausting than close range boxing. Sometimes I do spar with boxing only rules (maybe due to an injury, maybe just to perfect my boxing) and it drains me like crazy.

boxer here who tried muay thai and jiu jitsu. we respect you guys even more for having to worry about knees, elbows, spinning fists, kicks, take downs. Boxing for me is more mellow. I'm a simple man.

The problem in my opinion is that many people run far distances and train very long. While your fight only takes 3x2 minutes or 3x3 minutes. Many people try to train like pro's who fight for half an hour. There must me more emphasis on explosive training. You want to simulate what you actually are going to do. Conditioning is something everyone gets. Adaptation is what most don't

One thing that got me is the running. I was thinking why run for hours when in boxing is more upper body? Lower body is made for endurance it's your upper body that needs endurance. You can run for 30min you cant punch the bag fir 30min. I know running has its uses, but unless you plan to run in the ring. I heard of a wrestler who couldn't last in running but when on the mat wrestling he could last. The stamina is different.

I had my first amateur Muay Thai fight and I was doing well against a guy way better than me. I used to spar for so many rounds of two minutes a piece. But in this fight the rounds were 90 seconds and I completely gased out and in the second I was so tense.

The Arturo Gatti example was great. He dominated the rematch by just staying relaxed and using technical boxing. He was known for his brawling but when he would actually commit to boxing he could box beautifully and loose.

Great tip about rotating your hips. I noticed I always get tired throwing 1 2s because I would tense up my arms and shoulders. While I never got tired throwing hooks because they mainly come from the hips.

In short, it's about feeling so comfortable with the movements (being able to control them so well) that they seem to run automatically and you can switch off while boxing. Like learning the individual letters (the individual punches) and like learning to read (being able to combine the punches). At some point it becomes as automatic as if you had learned to write (being able to execute the individual punches and combos directly).

Become comfortable with your “bread and butter” techniques and gameplan, keep it simple and when you have a strong understanding of the basics and confidence in your ability to either deal damage or be a technically more proficient fighter and that fear will go away

I saw one of your videos where you say to keep the risk cocked. What do you mean by that? Should the wrist be slightly bent down with the knuckles lined up with the forearm or should you just keep it straight in a natural position? Does that make sense? In other words, land with a slightly bent wrist? Even punching bare knuckle?

Whole load of nonsense. Technical ability has nothing to do with it. Rocky Marciano lacked technical ability but had great stamina. So where's your point? Relaxation is correct but technical ability I disagree with. Having good ring smarts you should say, not technical ability.

You're delusional if you think one of the greatest boxers lacked technical ability. Maybe he didn't have the best defensive technique in his time, but 100% he was top-tier with his offensive boxing technique and how to use weight shifting with his entire body and core to hit hard.
