How to Select Driving Modes | Traxxas TRX-4

The Traxxas TRX-4 features the XL-5 HV electronic speed control. The XL-5 HV features dedicated driving profiles for crawling and trail driving, in addition to Sport Mode, Race Mode, and Training
Mode profiles. Follow these steps to select the different modes.
Profile Description
Profile #1 (Sport Mode):
100% Forward, 100% Brakes, 100% Reverse
Profile #2 (Race Mode):
100% Forward, 100% Brakes, No Reverse
Profile #3 (Training Mode):
50% Forward, 100% Brakes, 50% Reverse
Profile #4 (Trail Mode):
100% Forward, 100% Brakes, 100% Reverse;
Drag Brake at Neutral
Profile #5 (Crawl Mode):
100% Forward, Hill Hold Brakes at Neutral,
Immediate Reverse

Hey Traxxas, I have been in this hobby for over 35 and have owned pretty much every model you have made ( at one point or another ) Can you please fix your sub micro servo's 2065 . Just bought the trx 4 and one servo already tore the gears out. less than 5 mins of run time. Now its in pieces on my workbench. Or at very least . offer a metal gear upgrade...... its been a weak point of this servo for years. Other than that . keep up the great work and amazing models...... P.S. LOVE THE NEW BRONCO .

TRAXXAS PLEASE HELP ME!!! I AN SO STUPID!!! It happened a week ago. I was so stupid enough to go into the second mode and full throttle and stop. Now my 4x4 slash electric 1/10 scale is only rear wheel drive now and the drivetrain is making weird sounds whenever I drive...

great video what is the max turn motor this ESC can handel i was thinking 50 turn or 55 turn motor is this possible for the esc to be ok to run one of these motor choices

Traxxas please!! When entering the menu of adjustment of the radio it just died, out of nowhere ... channel 1 and channel 2 completely inoperative ... channels 3,4e5 work ... what can be done ???? I've tried everything, reset the radio through the buttons and even added a bluetooth module to try to solve and nothing happens .. what can you do to help me? I've tried all the possible options contained in your manuals ...

Just downloaded manual,thanks for that. It was in crawl mode, was great for 5 mins,,,,,,,then throttle went? Steering servo working. Led solid red,,,,,,,charged battery again,,,,,took 5 mins, then same situation again? I will read up tomorrow but if anyone can shed light on whats wrong, please comment,thanks.

My TRX 4 doesn't seem to have hill hold on the crawl setting as it just rolls straight back down. Is there a way of reprogramming the ESC so it works ?

I don't think any other brand does things right like you guys : two speeds, front and rear remote diff lock, portal axles, hill hold and cruise control.

do you need to change the mode setting everytime you switch off ypur car? or it will auto save the previous set up?

The ESC will retain the previous setup (even if model is powered off and back on ) until the mode is changed again.

Can the Traxxas TQi receiver (part#6533) handle up to 7,4 volts via external bec instead 6v nominal that provides internal esc bec?
