The most incredible sales tip: Your goal as a sales person is to remove the anxiety of the person spending the money. I’m currently about 80% through "Grant Cardone's Rebuttal Manual". I have read a lot of sales books and this book is my absolute favorite....,.

Hello Patrick! One question I’ve never seen asked here and would love if you touched base on it is, how do you work a sales position , while dealing with your own mental health? May seem touchy but to me a sharp mentality and clarity is key. So what do you do if you have something blocking that? Thanks!

Challenge: Website Development Service A customer calls in and you can sense an attitude in the tonality of their voice. They are speaking at an accelerated rate and requesting a refund and they are locked out of their account and need to get in as soon as possible. You pull up their webpage and notice it is not mobile friendly, unsecure, and it was built in 2002. How do you transition from the problem they are calling in to solve and navigate your way into the conversation about getting a new website built?

I would focus first on understanding their frustration. Their frustration shows me that they aren’t the least bit tech savvy because they don’t understand that it’s been 20 years. Once you “address, empathize and relate” you can provide an example of the change in something relatable (like aol and chat rooms). Hell, a lot of the older iPhones within the last 10 years have become totally obsolete. A 20 year old website is a dinosaur. These examples should get them to acceptance. Now, they’re frustrated they waited so long, but they’ve accepted that it has to change. Now, you just walk them through options in their budget. So, this requires customer service in the front end- otherwise, the customer is all emotion with no rationale and the sale will be impossible- even if it’s inevitable. If that makes sense.

Love your videos, this content is prepping me to be a stronger bdr/sdr despite this relating to an AE position. I’m doing a free internship on aspireship. Is cyber security a good sector to try and work towards selling software?
