I have a 24 hour analog timer that comes with a spider farmer 2x2x5 complete indoor marijuana grow tent, does each number represent an hour/time of days? And if so i need 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness until the flowering stage then i'll change to 12 hrs on 12 hrs off. Ive never set this timer before i know how to push down the pins but say i want the lights on at 6 in the morning and then 18 hours later would be 12 at night am. So what do i do? do i line up the 6 on the black triangle indicator and push every pin from 6 clockwise to 12 am and then leave the rest of the pins untouched for when its in darkness?

You forgot to tell people to make sure they switch the actual timer to the TIME switch via the red slider, if you are setting it, make sure the timer's slider is set to infinite, then after determining what times you are using, slide it down (or up) to the small clock face on the side (The slider side has "I" and a clock on it) Amateur hour!!

If I switch it up this red light goes on what does that mean if I switch it down it says timer does that mean the timer is going to run and I don't need to stay up till 5 in the morning to wait till the light shut off or do I have to put it on on for this shit to work

Are these timers safe to use with HID grow lights? I am reading that when lamp starts up that they cant handle the sudden surge of power required to ignite bulb and will eventually burn up timer. Worried about fire safety

How about The ARLEC MODEL Pc 609 . IT SAYS 24 , Monday to Sunday. But in between you have say 24 - 6 - the day Monday or what ever day it is - 18 and 24 again? Any ideas ? Thx , I just don’t know how it works or explain it. That’s best I’ve got for you.Btw this one doesn’t have black on one side and white on the other it’s , you click grey buttons. Anyways Thx.
