I have 2 electric pumps with digital readouts, 1foot pump with analogue dial and 2 hand held digital pressure gauges, and I can't get any of them to agree with the car dashboard display! When I saw this video come up in my suggested feed, I was initially elated that Simon was going to solve my OCD issues once and for all, but alas it was not to be! 😉

Not just the tyres but the date on the dashboard is way out! It says 31/01/2013.

Not sure why but it seems to vary between model and age when the monitor picks the change in tyre pressure. My 22 plate (23 model year) Velar is almost instant. My wife’s 2017 Evoque you don’t need to drive, just start it. I’m guessing the Disco Sport I had did as yours but I seem to remember the two Jags I had 2015 & 2019 were like the Evoque. It’s a pity they don’t standardise them although I never rely on the electronics by which ever version for the pressure. Old fashioned manual tyre pressure gauge for me.

Can I disable the TPMS? Is it done in the same menu? I just need to turn it off because I took them out because I could get them working. Any suggestions, help, assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there Simon. Any chance you could show us how to remove the fuse box of the discovery sport or Evoque?

Hi Simon…… I prefer the old style system…… I look at the tyres…..if the side wall is baggie….. get my battery powered compressor out ,which has a gauge on it, and pump them up!!!! Only takes a couple of minutes and I don’t have to drive around the block to see if the pressures are correct!!! Simplicity is the answer!!! Regards Ian 👨🎤🇳🇿👍😂😂👍

I dont know why people worry so much - the tyres are often only flat at the bottom - rest of the tyre is fine 😃

Hi , can you please let me know how to put Evoque 2020 in learning Mode so I can activate my TPMS sensors as I recently changed my Alloys and install new TPMS.

they should just relearn when you drive - have you driven yet ? did you buy sensors from LR ? This is something i am looking at this week
@creativecolourful4664Ай бұрын
@@simonjefferson I bought sensors from Amazon, driven for 20 miles car not picking up the sensors light still on

Is there a way to calibrate the dash display so that agrees with a reasonably accurate gauge? My Ranger has a similar arrangement but the gauge on the air line consistently reads 3psi higher than the TPMS displays in the dash. This is annoying and not critically important of course but still, if there is a way, that would be great.

Also trying to get to the service interval menu to one check what it says and then to reset it. Struggle like anything to find that information when customers bring their LR's in for servicing. End up using our scanner to reset the service message.

Hi . I’m using nitrogen in my all 🚙.

Thats a good idea - not sure where I can get that done locally !

@@L663 I think most tyre places offer this (at least they used to) - normal air is mostly nitrogen anyway.

You will find your airline isn’t accurate. Use a pressure gauge to check
