Hi :-) You create beautiful play/foraging areas for Mia! Wonderful! 😍 There seems to be a lot of food available to her throughout the day. How much of it does she actually eat? And does that affect her regular diet, ie. In the morning and before bed?

Thank you so much! Mia really enjoys exploring her play and foraging areas!🤗 As for the food, she definitely snacks on some of it throughout the day, but it’s more about the mental stimulation I am trying to provide. We try to keep it balanced so it doesn’t replace her main meals-she still has a regular breakfast routine with her fresh foods and I tend to put out pellets in her birb areas because that's what I want her to forage the most with some healthy seeds in the mix. The other foraging snacks are more like healthy “extras” that she can munch on if she’s feeling peckish or curious. We monitor her intake to ensure it doesn’t affect her overall diet!

I recommend parrotplanet.pl/ because they have a huge variety and a lot of good brands and products, from tree stands to pellets to avian cleaners and toys etc but not all their toys are great, for toys and foraging I recommend Back Zoo Nature products, and although they carry some of their products you can check out www.avonturiashop.nl/ for more since they ship within EU😀

Hi it all looks great and I will try something similar for my green cheeks. It does seem like a lot of food that could go to waste if not eaten before the setup needs cleaning. How long do you leave it before cleaning and setting it up again?

@@paultetrault9165 I don’t know a bird that would allow the nuts/seeds go to waste 🙃 but the pellets as I mentioned 1 tbsp is good & I refresh it once she’s munched it all. I change up the area each week since by then it needs a cleaning and refresh😀

What is in the bag you are using for foraging? Bedding of some natural sort?

It is coconut husk bedding, which is great to add to foraging!

Hey.. I’m the person who asked for help on caring for my birds. They naturally just got tamed. Both of my birds died. The female would always follow me or just come to me wherever I was. The male one didn’t like going out

@@reallsmooth the female one ate cement somehow while I was at school. We live in a forest. Her fur around her eyes was gone. We didn’t have a bug problem. The male one died sudden when I was at school
