A little dirt never hurt Ryan, aunty clarice again lol 🤪 been typing as i am watching: make some funky signs saying, freshly picked this morning or “ Harvested, Washed and for Sale Fresh within Hours of Picking”...and some wee cards you can give out to customers stating your name/farm name/youtube channel etc....could help massively. Just a thought hun 🤔😉.....😘

Your display is looking very nice. Even decorated the awning posts 👍. A set of bed sheets makes a great table cloth. I was thinking you need some nice homey looking crates or baskets and then BOOM there they appeared 😀. I know nothing about market gardens. Admittedly I’ve rarely visited any. However, I do prefer to see things tied in bunches with an elastic or cloth strips rather than shoved in a bag. Things do look awesome, the produce looks amazing, and you almost have that first season of learning under your belt. Thanks for taking the extra time to bring us along.

I need to have potatoes from early to late in the season. Folks buy them every other week, which gives a vendor the opportunity to add on other fringe products. Also, my beets and carrots were planted late, which I can remedy for next year. So much planning will go into this fall/winter, which will make that time of year bearable:))

Really enjoyed that Ryan - a great insight to what you've been up to this year (and that you wear sandals with socks, and that you and the Mrs have kinky black satin sheets). The stall was looking great - and with a couple of more tables next year (for all the pickles, chutneys, home made wine, etc you'll making over the winter), it's gonna look even better next year. Why don't you have any signage advertising your KZbin channel - a sure fire way of getting customers hooked ? Anyway, keep it going. Cheers ........ Kevin

Ryan your table looks good man. Do you have any signage? I always thought that if I did a farmers market I would want to give customers the option to know what I was bringing to the market. So they could place their orders ahead of time and just pick them up. Curtis Stone calls it a fresh sheet and he texts the fresh sheet his customers /chefs. I guess you could just tell customers that they can text you if they want something in particular or if they want to know what you will have for them. Just a little backseat driving from a friend......
@Mrsnufleupagus5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Allan! I just got my banner, and built a sandwich board yesterday. Still need to work on product signage, but it is getting there! Your opinion is always welcome buddy, I know it's coming from a good place:))

That was fantastic... Hey....you ditched that abominable hat. To me it felt like your comfort blanket... and, without it you have blossomed, wonderful. I'm wondering if you need to wrap the kale in plastic bags.. I know it will stop water evaporation, but would you try not doing that and sell without plastic... the whole world is trying to cut it down. It may not work keeping it fresh, but I think it's worth trying a few to see how they hold up. I think you're wonderful, lets hope the profits are too :D
@Mrsnufleupagus5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Kath! The kale is in plastic bags and has been selling quite well. I will be sourcing non plastic for next year, as this year was a bit by the seat of my pants!! Thanks again for your kind words, profits will be there when all my adjustments have been made!! I find your obsession with my farming hat hilarious, lol!! I have not worn it for 4-5 vids, yet you keep banging on about it. I thought that taking it off would satisfy you, but it seems to have had the opposite effect. You bring it up more now than when I was wearing it, hahaha. Guess I'll have to put it on more often to hear less about it!!!! On a related note...I met a gentleman 2 weeks ago at market and asked him if he was wearing a panama hat. He was and it was hand made in Cuba. Have a super week my headwear aficionado:))
