Hey, i know i'm late to the party but i wanted to ask, what did all this cost you? tank + aspen + the hides and thermostat? also, should i take reptile carpet for the tank floor? i want to get a sand boa myself and am still researching

No they love to burrow from what I know they spend most there time burrowed

i got my baby at an expo!! but their are tons of breeders online if you dont have expos near you! check on morphmarket!

i Talia try going go google or safari and type reptilecity.com and maybe you can find lots of reptiles but you also need to get a vet and a tank as well UVB light plus good and calcium powder and some stuff they can hide and climb

I know I am planning on getting a sand boa I have done all my research but I know my mom won’t let me get one if they need any type of lamps so do they and yes I know I am two years late but it’s so hard to find new ksb videos;-;

Mmm lamps im dont think they are necessary, but you do need a heat source for them. Best bet instead of a lamp is a reptile heating pad, you put it on one end of the tank, but the sand boas need high temps like a basking area on one end and a cooler end on one side (90 basking and 80 degree cool side) you can try moving the tank outside in the natural sun with supervision, but honestly you might need to wait until you can use a lamp for their basking area so your baby has a good quality of life

How do you get your heat source for your sand boa? I have a heat pad on the side and also if I was you I would add more substrate and for him. They’re not a obove ground sooooo it’s strange rhat he didn’t go unground straight away
