thanks for un-building this system, and showing it to us from scratch, as most people, assemble systems, Then discuss them, not showing people who havent seen them before how they where constructed, you did, so THANKYOU.

Great Video. Would recomend to show a new rope replacing the backup line, so there is no confusion when lowering a load on a longer lower system. Yeah its probably obvious but just thinking of the confused level 2 trying to figure it out. Great video, simple, easy to understand. Will be showing your videos in my class next week!!!! Looking forward to more.

Hello Mike, Thanks alot for a very well produced set of videos. Is it possible to also do a video that stresses thinking about loads on anchors when rigging a haul such as the first 7 mins suggest. That 90 deg. redirect is of course quite common in the working world such as hauling from a gantry into a silo or something similar. Would be great if you could explain forces applied to anchor points in those angles. Thanks again man, Keep it up

Hey Daniel, Thank you for your comment. I will be making a video to help understand the anchor loading. But it will not be in great detail.

Good afternoon in the systems of not having ID you can use a RIG Thanks for sharing
@theropeaccessandclimbingpo23804 жыл бұрын
Hey Roman, I was using a RIG and Flows in this video. But that’s why I you will notice me say control descent devices inside of a using a name of a device in most cases. You can use any sort of Progress Capture here. But in the event that you may have to lower the load. I’d suggest using a control descent device. I hope that answers your question Cheers Mikey

In haul system, if i use 2 rigs i prefer to use shunt so i can tighten 2 ropes in the same time and i don't have to care about safety rope.
@theropeaccessandclimbingpo23803 жыл бұрын
Good option. But we don’t have shunts here in Canada haha

You made a very nice video and I have a question. Why do you advise (10.30) against setting up the rig for rescue system with one ID and one ASAP (instead of using 2 ID's)? You gave your reason that you wouldn't want the climber on climbing on the wrong rope. As long as the ASAP is not locked how would it be possible for the climber to "climb on the wrong rope"?
@theropeaccessandclimbingpo23802 жыл бұрын
Great question. It would seem like theres no way that your working tech could possibly get on the wrong rope. But people miss things. Next down fall here is. In the event that the rescuer needs to get on the system… For whatever reason. It doesnt complicate the situation.
