Fwiw, the nuts with the plastic in them are called Nylock nuts. The plastic is nylon embedded into the nut to prevent it from coming loose. Loctite is a liquid you can add to the threads that prevent seizing of the nuts to the bolts, but mostly to act as a glue to prevent the nuts from coming loose, and depending on the colour of the Loctite it determines the strength of the hold.

I lke all your videos! I used to skateboard (street) when I was 6th/7th grade. I had a brain Tumor so I basically quit, I still tried to skate now n then but found I had lost alot of my balance and being weaker from all the surgeries and chemotherapy didnt help either. Fast forward 20/25 years later, last night I ordered myself a skateboard. Since I gave my youngest brother, my little buddy, My board many years ago. I used to ride/had a Santa cruz TomKnox w a mix of parts, then for my birthday my parents bought me a SC everslic board, after I had already started Chemo. It was a nice thought though and I did skate it a bit, nothing though like I used to prior cancer. Now I'm big into mountain biking, and cancer free. I think skateboarding will still always be a part of me, I'm amazed at how things have changed, but am still excited to try out my new board. Your channel has probably been the motivation! Even if it doesn't turn out the way I expect, I figure I've got a couple of nephews I can teach to skate! Excited! After I start riding gaining balance n all I'll have to see if I can still Ollie/ Kickflip, I used to be known for grinding right through the axles of my trucks if I didn't break them first. Thank you!

If youre critical about your deck looking spot on: Its not 100% ideal to smash your hardware through the grip tape because it can unstick the grip tape around the screws and also cause tears. Poking through the top side and rubbing that inside edge with your tool to wear off the tape thats in there reduces risk of unsticking or small tears

The little spacers that go between the bearings are worth putting in, they take some of the stress away from the centre of the bearings makes them last longer 😉🤙

I can't believe no one else mentioned this I thought maybe I was just old and it wasn't used anymore but should definitely be part of the kit if it of any quality

The plastic piece in the bolt he calls loctite, is actually nylon, making it a nyloc nut. That's what he probably meant to say. Loctite is a brand name and usually refers a type of glue that is commonly used to secure bolts directly in a threaded hole. The more you know... :)

Love this video! Perhaps "How to choose the right size of wheels and trucks for specific boards?" - I would find that helpful! Thanks All!

I don't know anyone who in my area who skates yet and this helped a lot!

I always set up a deck with 1/8" risers....adds a cushion absorbs vibration, that can otherwise stress the veneer layers. I know some skaters don't like them, but I wouldn't skate without them.
