Hey Aaron. I wanted to let you know that I just ordered my first skateboard. Ordered it from Revive. Having watched you guys, (you, Lance, Carlos, Fetty, Gabe, Doug, et al) for around two years, I'm inspired to, at the very least, own a skateboard. I'm 58 years old and have always loved skateboarding (well watching it anyway). Tony Hawk, Rodney Mullen and the rest. I'm officially putting on my bucket list to do an ollie. I'd die a happy man. Love you guys. Best of everything to you all.

I recommend skatedeluxe in America And in Europe Skatepro. They both have their own skateboard creator where you can build your board from scratch. And if you want information about trucks, wheels, bearing, hardware or decks i would recommend watching a ton of KZbin videos and reading a lot of websites. I also just bought my first skateboard during corona times and i can reccomend you my setup if you want. Decks, Girl, 8.25, Girl Kennedy 3D OG Skateboard - € 59,95 Trucks, Independent, 149, Independent Polished Silver Stage 11 - € 34,95 P/P Wielen, Spitfire, 54mm, Spitfire Formula Four Tablets Wheels Natural 101D 54mm - € 54,95 Hardware, Thunder, 7/8 inch, Thunder Phillips Hardware 7/8 Inch - € 4,95 Lagers, Bones Bearings, Bones Reds Bearings - € 22,50 in total around 210 because trucks don’t come together where i am from I got my griptape free. Also i heard from friends that you could buy the same setup in America for 100. If you need more help just answer and i will try my best.

DekuShredz I was just skating today trying some curb stuff on a pretty dead street with no traffic. A woman told me there was a park for that. I ignored her until she commented on how I was kicking my board up into my hand. She said “don’t be so lazy and pick it up”. I rolled over to her and asked her why she is being such a bully. Most people/pros skate from 8.0 - 8.5. I wouldn't go any smaller than 8.0, it will feel plenty narrow & light and flip very fast & easy. Most usual deck sizes for street skating are 8.0, 8.25 & 8.5. Also for beginners I always suggest slightly bigger & softer wheels (54-56mm, 80-90a), so riding your skateboard in the streets actually makes fun and doesn't become torture with every crack or pebble.

Hi, First let me say that I truly enjoy the videos u guys do. Thanks u so much for properly educating those of us wanting to learn. So here is my story, I am 39 yrs old and was once pretty passionate about skating. A looooong time ago. But I lost about 20 yrs of life due to a bad choice I made long ago. See around the same time I found skating to be my true love, I also made the stupid choice to try Drugs. Well I was not able to walk away , and before I knew what I had done I found myself in a HORRIBLE, daily HELL of drug addiction. See, I lost all hope and dreams of anything I once loved, all my life consisted of was feeding my addiction for a lil more than 20 yrs. Loosing touch with my true self, my loved ones, and ANYTHING I held dear to my heart. Well here we are a few decades later, and I am FINNALY a sober man!! How ever I am having trouble finding those things that I loved, those things that made me whole. I have purchased a cheap board from Wal-Mart, but I just CAN NOT find myself With this soars. I am wondering if u guys had an old boats set up just maybe laying around that, u would consider donating to a man's journey, and walk through a happier more self worth life. If not I totally understand, at least I had the chance to tell u Thank u and please keep up the positive work u do!!! Thanks again, Sam Bodden

Risers ?
@oof61847 жыл бұрын
They aren't necessary some people like them but its purely a preference thing
@Jess_Outdoors6377 жыл бұрын
Soft Riser pads Reduce the amount of shock that travels up your legs when you perform tricks off of high obstacles. As for hard riser pads, they allow you to have larger wheels as they reduce the risk of wheelbite. But you must remember to get longer bolts if the risers are more then 1/8th of an inch thick.
@baileydyson28457 жыл бұрын
I'm a bowl and vert skater who rides really loose trucks 1/4" risers mean you never have to worry about wheel bite

You're suppose to feel like you're trying. You cant just be amazing right as you start out. You have to get better, and after you get tricks down, you'll have a ton of fun

If you starting and your under 14ish get a 8.0 and 8.25 if you older because you will learn to flick your tricks instead of kicking down which is easy on a small board, I skate a 8.5 but that’s me
