hey thanks for the loveley comment .. NO this does NOTY update the core files, and assuming you dont have the server stored in the default directory you will have to do that manually , if you do have the server files in the default i recommened moving it asap, or the next update that includes new items sill overwrite your type edits, hope that helps

I am fixing to start my own dayz server, so I have been looking at your videos. So, on the restart time. You never showed us how to change it. Is that just a timer for allowed update time, then it re-starts after downloading the updates automatically or does it wait the whole time before re-booting?

Does this download the mods every time it runs? As I understand it steamcmd updating mods, doesn't check, it just downloads, which on a modded server can be like 30GB of mods. Oh and btw i've got a script that'll automatically work out the mod IDs, I run about 80 mods, so doing it manually wasn't an option.

Hey, if you were still trying to figure this out thought I'd just let you know that, you have to move the Modlist.txt out of your server folder itself, I threw mine onto the desktop and linked it from the .bat directly there. I have no clue as to why this worked but it did. I didn't have the error and it checked every mod.

Yeah i'm trying to find out how to send messages to the server in game chat and restart when the mods update instead of waiting 6 hours for the normal cycle, it's got to be possible, the server hosting companies can do it...... Without this functionality i'd have players complaining they can't get in and that they lost their heli/car when the server randomly restarted without any warnings.

Logging into both accounts and hit the key to turn it on and nothing and when I use the reg bat.file to turn server on the password changes to a long chain number and can loggin to vpp and my password doest work but it does turn on with reg batt.file just can't loggin

Well, came here after trying for days to fix a problem I have. Up until not I have fixed everything I encountered, BUT, I have a problem while downloading the mods. Steam gets all my download speed for 5-10 mins, downloading something, only to get an error at the end, "Downloading item 1559212036 ...ERROR! Timeout downloading item 1559212036" for example.... no matter the size of the mod. (server runs great if I open in from another bat file without the auto updater)

I investigated further and see the mods downloaded under their workshop ID (numerical) under the .\DayZServer\SteamCMD\steamapps\workshop\content\221100 it seems they arent being copied into the dayz Server folder from here? or something else is amiss? any help would be frik'n awesome just like all your vids :)

I resolved the issue. You have to use a steam account that owns Dayz for the SteamCMD original sign in and in the screipt... Dayz workshop content can not be downloaded via SteamCMD on an account that does not own the game, kind of lame but I have it fixed. maybe this will help others who encounter the problem.

I removed all lines containing () and changed all the vehicle's container lootmax from either 2 to 4 or 3 to 4 shown here (). the only errors im left with on batch is (!!! 3 groups have no points !!!) and (removing points from landboatsmall1 *****, ******,) and then the endless warnings in RPT file. Well done with the auto updates vid, its been working sweet
