You are seriously an angel. Thank you SO much for this. It is SO hard to find help videos regarding ASMR setup. I've been wanting to try doing ASMR for years and trying to find out how to do it has been to the point of anxiety inducing. If you have time, I do have one question. The 3.5mm audio cable, is that something that you purchased yourself or did it come with the camera? It's the only thing I think I'd be missing from my setup. I've got the Blue Yeti, the Camera, Ring light, I've got a stand ready to come whenever I have everything. It's just the cable that connects the microphone to the camera. I'm assuming that it doesn't come with the camera and I would have to purchase that? Thank you so much again for this, you're seriously a superstar

Thank you so much for making this video. Literally, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to marry the video with the audio. I have a Rhodes mic and it plugs right into my camera. So if I am understanding you, the earphone outlet on the bottom of the mic is where you put the audio cable in, and then it gets connected to your camera? That makes sense. Again, thanks so much for this video. Happy Holidays and please stay safe.

I am so excited to find such a video and s.o struggles for the same thing. My question is that: 1. why do we need to connect the microphone to PC? 2. after all the set up, how do camera and the mic work to record the video and asmr sound? 3.does the recording happen when we connect audio cable to mic and the camera, then we set the manual in the camera to record the sound via that cable while the camera also function on recording video at the same time? 4. could you please make the part 2 of your video from the manual setting step on camera till the final product(video)?
@journey19434 жыл бұрын
Amazing VID thank you for reaching out to me and Yes I’m more than happy to help you with these questions: 1. You have to connect the microphone to the computer for power because the mic can’t be powered with a wall charger. It must be a computer. 2. The mic works automatically because the camera has that audio plug so it accepts external mic. 3. The camera and the mic will record at the same time so don’t worry about it 4. A part two video sounds like a good idea and I will try to plan for it and upload it soon. By the way my camera is not a DSLR. It’s Canon M50, it’s a mirrorless câmera. Hope everything goes well with you and best luck !!

Could I use An adapter and plug a mic directly into my phone, Do I need any separate recording devices? (thank you so much for the video it is exactly the video i was looking for, i just had a few questions)
@journey19433 жыл бұрын
Yes you can power the mic only with your phone. There is an adapter you can buy from apple. It will have another outlet to charge your phone at the same time. Using your phone to film is very battery consuming and your phone dies quickly. I have filmed several videos on my channel with just my phone.

Hey girl! Thanks for making this video. I am from Toronto, Ontario (Canada). How are you liking Portugal? That is a BIG move. I love your setup. I have a huge tripod/ring light and another tripod that could fit a cell phone or camera. I recently purchased a Blue Yeti (same as yours) and am playing around with the settings for the most crisp sound without too much white noise. I find that my Samsung S7 Edge cell phone does not have great sound quality when recording. The volume is quite low even when turned up high. I'm thinking of investing in a camera. Do you find that your camera films with better sound quality and less white noise? I'm a bit frustrated lol I also need an inexpensive backdrop, as I film in my kitchen. It isn't the most appealing background lol Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to supporting you and watching some of your other videos and new releases :)

Hiiiii Krystin thank you so much for such a long comment! I was in Toronto for a month too! Portugal was so lovely and I will definitely go there again maybe even move there. I’m back in Vancouver now though cuz I need money and a job. Lol 😂 I don’t have a black drop yet I was totally thinking of getting it but for now I need more lighting equipment as priority. I do find filming with a camera has better audio quality because the mic is powered from my laptop and where when I film with my iPhone, the mic is powered by my phone and camera is from my phone too and the phone is doing too much work so the quality is lower but also less noise. Maybe try to turn the gain down to the minimum so the mic is not as sensitive to pick up all the sounds.

Hi Alice! May I ask about the headphone? Do we regularly plug the headphone cable to the mic to hear the sound from the mic or Plug the Headphone cable to the camera to hear the sound that camera can catch up from the mic through audio cable? So is it necessary to buy the camera with headphone jack?

Before I answer this, I’d like to know which equipment you have bought already and if you had looked at the mic in person.

@@journey1943 Now I have Blue Yeti, and I'm going to buy a DSLR and a Laptop. Cos m the beginner, m stuck in choosing the Camera. I never know the set up properly.

@@amazingvid8022 to be honest, you really don’t need to spend so much money for the camera and laptop. Sometimes I film on my iPhone 11. Do you have an iPhone? Blue yeti can also be plugged into the iPhone and iPhone usually have great camera quality
@journey19434 жыл бұрын
@@amazingvid8022 You don’t plug the headphones into the camera, I don’t even know if that works, I’ve never done that. The mic should be plugged into the camera and the headphones plugs into the mic. That’s how the camera and mic capture the sound at the same time and in your headphones you can hear the quality of the sound while you are filming at the same time. That’s why in 99% of my videos I always wear my headphones because there are a lot of background noise and I need to stop talking if there is an ambulance driving by for example. And I continue filming once it’s quiet again.

I use Canon M50, it's a mirrorless camera, I love it so far and not planning to change it for a long time. Here is a link from Canon website, hope it works. www.canon.ca/en/product?name=EOS_M50&category=/en/products/Cameras/Mirrorless-Cameras

You’re so sweet, I love your personality! Thanks for such kind tips! If we are wanting to record, but can’t quite find a quiet enough spot, what do you suggest we do?

Thank you so much 😊! I’m also struggling with background noise so much, I just moved to an apartment that’s next to the train station. It’s noisy all day long now, I really don’t know what to do either.

@@SleepyHugAsmr I don’t know if anyone wants to hear train noise in the background. Is that even asmr?

@@journey1943 I wouldn’t mind it! I actually have my clock making sounds and I had one comment point it out in a positive light! I’d love to see more videos from you, train or not 😊
