When I use a slip bobber float, I tend to have the leader line will tangle up above the float when it hits the water.... Will the float and straw help with that problem ?

Yes it can help tremendously, but on very long casts it can tangle if the straw is not connected to the bobbers. I will try and update this video, and show how to connect the two bobbers with the straw. (I didn't have the materials at the time) but, Through a lot of experimentation I kinda figured out how to streamline this rig. There is not much information on the web on how to create this rig, but you can buy these pre-made if you look hard enough.

@@appaoutdoors1218 ..... When you say connect both bobbers, that confuses me... But you also said there is a rig that is made.... Where would I find that rig ?
@appaoutdoors1218 Жыл бұрын
@@poppagrouch4781 sorry for the confusion, the straw connects the small bobber to the large bobber. If you leave it loose like I do in the video, I experienced some tangles on long casts. I will see if I can find a link for you online to one, I usually only see them sold locally, in bait stores and such. It's one of the best live rigs I've ever used, just can be difficult to find. After work I'll try and help ya find one.

If u have trouble getting the line through your bobber double it up push it through the bobber till u see the loop pull it through with a small hook or something

What dose the straw and float help with
@appaoutdoors12183 жыл бұрын
Basically, to keep your line from being tangled. When you are using live bait bait fish that swim around.

Nice tutorial Russell. Wish I could use it but here in Utah we can't use live bait but I still learned something so if I ever travel haha.

Thanks! Really? I had no idea some states didnt allow live bait! But, yeah if you ever travel it's a great rig when using bluegill.

This is a live bait rig. There are better ways of making it also.

Yeah, I agree. I need to make a new video honestly. I didnt have the best materials at the time, but this can do the trick in pinch. I strongly recomend people glue the straw to the foam bobber at least cause it tangles easy without it.
