How to set up shipping for Goimagine. How to check if you have done it correctly.

This video goes over some shipping options for Goimagine sellers. Mainly, we want to be sure the amount GI and we are collecting will cover the actual shipping cost. I prefer Pirateship personally.

In the shipping information section, just before the package dimensions, there is a section called "items in a box" (number of items in a seperate box) I am confused about what this is for, so I don't know what values to enter. Is it incase someone orders more than one thing from your shop? Meaning they are looking for the max amount of that particular listing product that can fit in a box/package?

Yes, that is exactly what it is for & i believe it only affects those with flat shipping. If you have calculated shipping, you can leave it blank, but if you have flat shipping, it lets the dystem know if more than 1 item can fit in the same box for that same flat rate price. The best way to test if this is working for you is to pretend to buy multiple items and see if the shipping costs look correct when you go to "checkout". If all else fails, reach out yo Sandy Desoto, the Goimagine shipping expert.

Thank you for this! I plan to sign up with Pirateship. When you make a sale do you go to pirate ship and manually enter customer info and package weight and size and print label? Or does goimagine integrate with pirateship?

You need to go into pirate ship separately and copy and paste the address over. Most of my items are 4 oz or less, so i have a saved package size in pirateship that i can select, or if the size is different, manually put in the weight. There is no direct integration, but its pretty quick to copy and paste.

Is there a way to offer a shipping upgrade in goimagine? Interested in offering free ground service but offer Priority mail upgrade for $6. Maybe I should ask in FB group. Thanks for the info!

Yes, its under the shipping settings. If you are new(ish) to goimagine, they automatically set you up with the 2 options. And with the actual usps costs based on weight, or you choose to charge as a flat rate. There are a few posts in the facebook group that gi over it in detail as well. The last time I used click 'n' ship, I was charged full USPS rates. I don't think they give you a discount.

Yeah, it said somewhere that you get special business rates, but i couldn't find it.
