Thanks a lot. I just wanted to see whether it takes lens noise. I have d7500 and I think I should stay away for it. Boya m1 mic which is wired would it be good with nikon d7500 since the mic would be away from camera. Also what about hollyland Lark M1 with d7500

I have never experienced lens noise with my dslr set up. The lenses I use are of average noise and the mic is mounted directly above them. It is a directional mic meaning as long as the lens isn't infront of the mic it will be fine :)

@@TobyWoodPhoto I checked with other users and nikon camera lens makes more noise than canon and it does capture. I will get some wireless mic or wired boya m1. Thanks for your reply.

Man, I don't know what it is, but the By-MM1 audio is way too low in my smartphone. I have a Canon T7+ and was planning to record audio on my Galaxy A51, but it's so low it hurts. Even turning it up to +15db in posr doesn't feel on point! It's a shame, because I really like it's portability!

That is strange... I havent experienced this issue as you can hear but maybe contact Boya about it. They might be able to help or exchange if it was a recent purchase.

I obtained the mic 2 days ago... I have tried all I can to connect with no avail. Want to use it on my android phone and HP laptop.

Have you made sure the angle end is going into the mic, and straight end into the phone? I also use an android and it connects fine. If your doing all the steps correctly you may have recieved a faulty mic or wire.

The microphone uses the cameras battery and does not require one of its own

I reckon you can yes, it connects to both a phone and dslr and I believe the camcorder will have the same as one if these ports

Did you definitely use the right cable? It should be the one with the coil. If so is the angled side plugged into the microphone? Check then and hopefully it'll work for you
