I recently got the Vodafone super fast 2 home broadband but I won’t have internet connection when I’m outside, is there a way I can use my home broadband wifi when I’m out and about? Cheers

The MiFi device in this video should allow you to get online on the go. Just ensure that you get Vodafone 4G signal in the outside locations you'll be going to. You can't use your home broadband WiFi when you're out of range of the WiFi network. If you buy a MiFi device, also consider Three's one, which we've reviewed on our channel, because it's normally cheaper.

We believe that you can use a regular Vodafone data SIM with this device.

Since Vodafone is charging so much for the 5G version, it's probably better getting this one for the time being.

Also check your area location for 4G & 5G before purchasing as both units are location dependent. But the signal strength is indicated by colour Blue/4G signal, Orange/low medium strength signal. Pick up the same unit from Argos, and it works straight out of the box once you plug in the SIM and turn on.

Did you do anything to increase you download speeds? I'm currently at 4.90 download and 10.47 upload

You should be able to improve your download speed by putting it somewhere else in your house (probably an upstairs windowsill, but try downstairs as well). Also, try to rotate the device to point in different directions - it can be a bit finicky.

How much time it takes to work after putting sim inside?

After turning it on the first time, it takes about 30-60 seconds to set itself up.

Same here. About a min once SIM is inside and unit turned on. WiFi signal changes colour to indicate strength. Blue for high strength 3G/4G. Orange for medium strength. Go for multiple mobile devices, but weak if more than one tablet PC is in use. But then it's only 2.4ghz.

Ensure that you push the end with the cut corner in first, and that you have the right size of SIM card.

You can use another SIM I think but you might need to ask Vodafone for an unlock code.

To do that, you will have to enable roaming, and check that roaming is available in the country you're travelling to. There may be extra charges involved. Or, you can unlock the device, which involves requesting a Network Unlock Code from Vodafone, and use it with a different SIM card.

The new SIM card will technically have its own phone number, although you're not meant to use it. This will not affect your existing phone number.
