@@BirdNerdSophie I hope so, too. He has only three directions in the cage. Left for drinking. He uses now his second seed bowl in the bidgie cage, we putted in there to minimize his raiding on the budgie food. Right to his sleeping perch. And down to the bottom foraging the substrate for sunflower seeds. The budgies use their cage multiple times over the day, but Chucks likes to be outside the whole day. A new cage is kind of building a house in which the bedroom is bigger than all the other rooms together. I'll keep you informed😉

Target train your bird through the cage bars first so that you can interact with them and guide them back in afterwards :)

should conures be caged separately? i assumed so, but im not entirely sure. also, what is the best cage size for a green cheek?

(My sun conures), I’ve had several--But learned quickly I couldn’t do that with green cheeks. I might like to get other breeds, but am afraid they may have personalities I’m not wanting. Yes, I realize it was my fault the green cheeks got inside the wall-(never did find how- both times had to hire a carpenter to get them out & repair the hole he made). It’s just my home is super safe & had sun conures 40 years with no problem.

Hello! im gettin 2 cockatiels and never owned a bird before, but my grandma at a garage sale picked up a very large cage, the bars are pretty spaced apart and im worried about my babies heads getting stuck or them getting out at night with out supervision. im thinking of putting spaced mesh on the inside (hotglued and pulled tightly so they dont get tangled up) but before i do and before i get the bird, is that the best way to go about it, getting a new cage is not an option, so i need some help here. if putting mesh isnt safe for them someone please tell me what else i can do
@BirdNerdSophie3 жыл бұрын
If you aregoing to use mesh, make sure the metal is safe, and use cable ties rather than glue! birdtricksstore.com/blogs/birdtricks-blog/safe-metals-for-parrots

Nice tips! Ah yes, the birb kabob. We got some from Amazon and they are coming in a month but I am pretty sure that the birds are going to destroy and love em! Oh that looks fun! Crinkle paper is one of Fluffy's favorite toy parts! Cool! Both Maya and Fluffy has platform perches but for some reason they like to chew the sides of it, hope Olive likes it just as much as Maya and Fluff Fluff Oh yeah, the foraging wheel. Fluffy used to have it in his cage and I put sesame in there, but he didn't mind it at all so we just removed it and put a shredding toy in it's place I think that's paper party? We also got that in Amazon and I'm so excited to see what Fluffy thinks! We are going to put that in Fluffy's cage Oh interesting! I never thought of using plastic tubs for foraging! I normally think that they get more bacteria growth in it but it turns out u can use it! Nice! Is that the toy that is in the boys' cage? I feel that I saw it before.... Btw, I think that the circular pieces are made of corn husk Oh the calcium perch! We bought that too and I want to give it to Maya because her nails are getting long and she won't allow me to trim them. She has a sanding ladder but she doesn't use it so maybe this will be nicer for her and it has calcium which could help because she doesn't like chewing on cuttlefish I saw that toy in the elleandthebirds video! It looks really fun! Hope Olive enjoys it! Never seen that one before, but it looks really fun and shreddable. I think Olive and the others are going to love it 😃 Nice! I tried to make a veggie kabob for Maya but she didn't eat it and that ants came so we had to remove it Oh I seen that toy before! It looks really fun! I tried copying it in diy toys by using cupcake cases and tasels but Maya destroyed it lol Nice set up! Great video! Noisy birbs 😃! Liked!
